Iowa State beating Iowa will not get ISU better recruits. If that was the case you would be getting higher rated classes already. In order to begin to recruit better, ISU will have to get to a major bowl game and show they can develop players for the league. Recruits will not listen to your OMG Big 12 so awesome talk because they hear every day on Sportscenter how the only great conference is the SEC and how ****** everyone else is in comparison.

I would assume this was the guy's last blog because his head had to explode with all the hot air he had inside of it. Talk about burying your head in the sand and making excuses. Its not like we won last year and had gone 0-15 the years before. I think what he was trying to say is he cant handle having a rival game with a "team" that is equal to his team that early in the season before they can have good excuses to lose.
the rationale they use for this game being a "lose/lose" for them applies to every team they play that they feel they are superior to. All of their weak sauce non con games they schedule, minny, NW, Indiana, us, etc.
then the same folks try to tell you that they (iowa) are on the same level as the upper echelon teams nationally. guess what hawkeye fan, big time programs don't lose regularly to teams they claim to be "above even being on the same field as" and then make excuses about how it isn't fair that they play them.

This is a total tangent, but I don't understand your name. You're an Iowa fan but you're a Hawk assassin? So you assassinate Hawks? No wonder you guys struggle so much, you don't whether to point the barrel up range or down range.
Even so, recruits sill don't care about beating Iowa or any specific opponents for the most part, look at Barkley Hill.
Fortunately for the author that won't be a problem much longer. Imo they've sat on their hands over in IC and allowed us to catch up. Now they're gonna have to work there a***** off just to maintain. Their qb play has been in decline for years. Something incredibly drastic would need to happen at this point for them to reestablish superiority. I don't see it happening.
he most certainly will not. if/when we win, you know what we're gonna get from those mouth breathers. sound off will be hilarious and exactly what you'd expect: highlights of drinky and dolph running the excuse factory during and after the game per the usual, that old brain dead moron zabel drooling all over him self in the corner wondering if president reagan will win re-election this year, and jon "diesel" miller explaining how Iowa will parlay the loss into an undefeated conference run.
I think that's a bad example. Barkley Hill went to Iowa because of the depth ISU had at running back and the inability of Iowa to keep a running back healthy and/or on the team. He didn't want to sit behind 4-5 running backs and redshirt at ISU when he saw an opportunity get a decent amount of snaps as a true freshman at Iowa.
IF iowa beats ISU, Iowa gets recruits because Iowa is awesome and ISU sucks.
If ISU beats Iowa, Iowa gets recruits because they want to help Iowa beat ISU in the future.
I mean after all, they're America's team.
