You guys are pathetic. It seems like I'm reading HawkeyeNation. Down 7 at halftime, Barnett hasn't been as bad as you all seem to think. He's on pace to throw for almost 300 yards. The offensive line can't open up a running lane to save their lives. The defense is on track to give up over 600 yards of offense against Oklahoma State's backup quarterback. And yet, its all on Barnett. Yeah, he's missed a handful of throws, but all of you calling for a quarterback change need your head checked. Undoubtedly, many of you were also screaming for Barnett over Jantz. It's freaking embarrassing to see this meltdown.

I don't think we would be losing if Barnett wouldn't mistake his receivers hands for their feet.

I can count at least 8 throws that have been awful in the first half. That's too many.

Courtney consistently (look at Iowa) opens the playbook on the first drive just to do absolutely nothing the rest of the day.

He just doesn't make good calls. I hope good things for the man but so far I'm not impressed with his OC ability this year.

Bring in Mangino next year -- an article in the newspaper down here mentioned he was ready to get back into coaching now.

It gets funny when our best chance at a running play is a broken play situation when Barnett can pick up few yards.

It's not so much that our run game is terrible (it isn't good either) as much as it is opposing defenses daring our quarterbacks to beat them through the air. Jared & Steele don't scare anyone when they drop back.

there's a reason why CPR said Richardson is a distant 3rd in the qb race and he hasn't gotten in to meaningful snaps this season. You guys are seriously overhyping him.

You know what's bad? Missing wide open receivers at their feet. Having an OL who can't block a high school team. This offense is a problem, and the QB is the first position people look. Doesn't make a difference that Barnett is on pace to throw 300 yards. He's missing too many throws and reads. It's understandable that people want Barnett out. Defense is a different story entirely.

Our Oline is terrible. Our quarterback has no arm strength. And our receivers don't know which routes to run.

The whole offense is bad. Twice in the first half, receivers ran routes next to each other. Offensive line can't sustain blocks, the QB makes poor reads and poorer throws. To make this worse, the O coordinator calls a very poor game. There is no motion to help the QB make reads and I'm going to scream if I see another WR screen for a one yard gain.

I would like to has some of that Kool-Aid your drinking! That first half by barnett is embarrising. I have never wanted Barnett in at QB because he throws crap and is consistant at doing it.

um he has been bad... simply because if he put any mustard on the ball we have 2 more 1st downs, and are scoring more... the sideline routes take 10 seconds to get there in the air, and we cannot run the ball which makes JB the better QB in our offense. Without the ability to run, his Play Action deep touch passes do not happen. Not all JB, but still not good. OUr entire offense is terrible.

At the very least we need to do bubble screens and set up blockers to gain some yards. We seem to like horizontal passes to receivers who are covered and don't move much to get uncovered. That's not on the players, that's on the OC.

Exactly. I'm actually sitting here wondering if being an ISU fan was funner back when we were bad and just accepted it and enjoyed the game. I know it's just a few on here, but sad to watch.

It's not all Barnetts fault. Nor was it all Steeles fault. The offense is bad all around. John Elway could be back there and this team wouldnt move the ball. Problem is, Barentt is just sooooooo limited, it really makes it hard.

Someone said Barnett is going to throw for 300 yards...yeah and thats not enough, need to score points, keep the offense on the field by not making horrible throws, not turn it over, and complete more than 40% of the passes, and you have to be able to run the ball.

scoring 21 points a game will win ZERO games going forward.
