Before playing a game with the Boston Celtics, former Cyclone Georges Niang has been traded to the Utah Jazz, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

Maybe a better situation career wise for him - but Boston area was home to him so bet he would have enjoyed wearing the Celtics jersey.

he did a dirty move on Jaylen Brown a couple years ago and Celtics fans remember everything
Yeah, it was a little grab from the bench, but the Celtics fans act like (and many of them even say) he was trying to hurt him and end his career. He was just trying to keep him from getting back on defense as fast as he would like. Just the kind of win at any cost thing you want a player on your team to do.

If he didnt have a great nickname like "Minivan", one could almost call him "trade bait"
He's a great 3 point shooter who is also a great locker room guy. What's not to like? Nevermind that there are parts of his game that we rarely get to see, but he has been still able to break them out when given the chance.

I love Niang but his defense is garbage. You realistically can’t play him much or at all in the playoffs.

Think it was retaliation from some previous Celtics bs but can't confirm
