Why not try Jantz right now?

Let's give up 9 yards on a bubble screen. This 14 point deficit is on all units EXCEPT for special teams(for once)
entirely disagree, Okie State is the top offense in the country for a reason, they have the personnel to make big gains off those screens and do every week. Offense totally took all emotion/momentum from our D. We probably have the best D in the Big 12 (OU might be better). But we have the worst offense in the country, and by far the worst in Big 12. Giving the ball back to a prolific offense by going 3 and out over and over again will result in a loss for pretty much any college football team, outside of maybe Alabama.

I think that putting Jantz in for a couple of series was the right idea. He did okay and didn't turn the ball over. Barnett was flirting with interceptions for the entire game. We have a O line/QB/receiver crisis at the moment. I am at a loss for how to fix it.

Jantz was almost able to get us a garbage-time TD once they started giving up stuff underneath to get us to run the clock, had he done that I guarantee the Jantz folks would be up in arms asking why he was benched in the first place, would have been pretty funny.

so do we just start playing both now... cuz we are REALLY running low on options... this is kinda what i said when everyone was freaking out after the tech game wanting jantz benched, what happens if barnett sucks worse, then what? well here we are, nowhere to go... and you can throw the turnover thing in there all day but barnett is just awful... he was just lobbing the ball into the defense, i have no idea how those werent getting picked... i dont think we go to richardson, rhoads says hes not ready yet, i can believe that... but what do we do now? QB competition every week? play both and say if you score you get the next drive and if not its the other guys shot?

Best defense in the conference? You can't be serious....Did you watch the game today? Yes the offense was awful, but good grief, tell me a time in the game you felt confident in the D getting a stop.....I can't remember one.

Has anyone thought that maybe it isn't all on the QB. Lot of times these guys are running for their lives. Barnett can't make all the throws, so he is really limited in what he can do, so Mess needs to realize that and put him in a bettter position.

That said, I would play Steele, at least you have a chance to score with him, Barnett just doesn't have the tools to play at this level right now and there is just no chance. It won't help anything because the whole offense has problems that can't be corrected in a short period of time, but I would play Steele.

I don't think this is on the QBs. Its the fault of the WRs. Tiller killed an important drive after we got the fumble with an awful drop and then taking a knee a yard short of the first down.

Young killed our best drive of the second half with an awful drop.

And Jantz didn't have a chance to get rolling with Woodys attrocious drop (and after that Jantz made his usual bad decisions.)

Shontrelle was poor and the guys who dropped balls killed us. If those guys weren't so bad we probably put a score in to cut it to 7 in the second half and maybe it becomes a game.

But Tiller killing a drive after the fumble, Young killing a drive on a perfect throw from JB, and Woody dropping a shovel pass with 10+ yards in front of him are why we lost. Those 3 drives cost us the chance to make it a game.

I don't think it matters who we put behind center....until this o-line decides that they may block somebody, hell anybody we are going to see more of the same.

Agree, PR has turned this offense and QB's specifically into a couple headcases. Felt like he hooked Jantz too early, not becuaes Jantz didnt deserive it, but because once you do that you can't go back. Love PR but I wonder if he wishes he handled this differently.

I don't think its pathetic at all. Coach is trying to give his team every chance to win. If that involves putting in a replacement QB, so be it.

Are you being serious? Yes this team gave up 600 yards but they also only gave up 30 points. The ISU ofense had a measly 10 points. How do you expect this defense to constantly stop teams when they are always on the field and not getting any help from the offense?! This defense played well enough to win the game but not when the offense can score more than what they have.

Dead serious. Go back and look at the stops we did make. Most were the result of a dropped passes/turnover in the red zone. This could of been a lot worse. Did you ever feel like this defense was in control today? Not trying to defend this offense at all, but the time of possession was pretty equal in the first half and we still couldn't get off the field.

I dont agree with you at all and I will leave it at that. This defense is basically being asked to win these games for us. Thats not there job, they are asked to keep us in games and that is what they have done so far. But this offense hasnt done **** to help these last 2 games and I dont fault this defense one bit. The offense is the thing to blame not the defense.
