Biggest game for ISU in ages. OU lost their Super Bowl tonight. Stoops on the road=an ISU victory Saturday!

i dunno man. depends on which ISU team shows up. OU's defense is 1,000,000,000,000 x better than baylor. plus jake knott might not be playing. would be a huge loss. but we played them pretty tough last year. i think we will have to improve in the running game, because we will not be able to pass it against them like we did tonight

As bad as it sounds I agree with the poster above. We have been let down way too many times when it come to anticipated big games. I hope for a win but have been let down way too much. I know ill be doing my part next Sat at least yelling.

oklahoma is notorious for playing very very well at home and struggling on the road, especially late in the year. they also don't lose back-to-back games. But this season has been unlike normal oklahoma so far.

pressure landry jones. flush him out of the pocket.
jantz needs to bring his A game.

if those things happen, we have a chance.

Of course we've won some games in there we were expected to be stomped in as well.

I know. I was just pointing out to UNIguy that Rhoads has had one "big game" per year where we absolutely fall on our face.

I hope next week we buck the trend!

I think it's the nature of the Big 12, not an ISU curse thing. OSU beat tech pretty good today, WV, Texas, and of course Kansas and Baylor have all had whippings.

We need to beat OU for the first time in 22 years. We have never defeated them on Big XII play. We have never beat them in the Jack, since it was built after our last win in 1960. I hope Wally and Mess and CPR have this game circled on the calendar and take it very seriously. We'll need to play 10 times better to pull out a win next weekend. We're do for this I think. Play good D and consistent O and we can win this one. Go State!

OU is the one team I never predict a win against. There was one year I thought we would get them..I don't like to think/talk about that one though. We're bound to get them eventually I guess..

This Wildcat thinks the Clones have a real shot against OU. The Sooner offense reminds me of my girl friend. Talented, cute, well rounded, soft in mind, body, and spirit; all great qualities in a girl friend...

Here nor there
IMO, in terms of (un)likelihood, it would be the biggest win of CPR's tenure.

A team with as much raw talent coming off a loss is always a huge challenge.

One determining factor might be how beat up OU is after their game last night. If some key guys for the Sooners are dinged up and ISU can do three things - run the ball effectively, win the turnover battle, and put pressure on Landry Jones - CPR and Co. will have a good shot at nailing down bowl eligibility next week.

Don't be fooled, Baylor's defense last night was bad. Find a way to pass block against OU, like we did agaist BU and you have a chance. OU has to make some mistakes for us to have a chance...

It's too bad even with Rhoads as our coach we still have fans like you amongst us. Welcome to the Paul Rhoads era.
If we win it'll be b/c our D shuts them down and turns them over multiple times. Their D will play us like they do every year. Jam our WR, load the box and make us beat them through the air, which we haven't been able to do.

I think your CPR optimism is adorable though :)

We've got a shot...need some things to go our way (like last night when Baylor fumbled into the end zone, punt return muff, etc) and hope Landry has a KSU type of performance.
