im surely over thinking things, but it would help iowa state's bowl position the most if:

LOSE to Oklahoma
WIN Texas, Kansas and West Virginia
Oklahoma wins the rest of their games
KSU and OU make BCS bowls

Here is an interesting statistic (could be read as "meaningless statistic"):

Iowa State has beaten Oklahoma every time they have played on November 3rd in Ames.

Oklahoma as a team is going to be very down this week. They just lost any shot at being in the title game (and probably of being in a BCS Bowl) and were downright embarrassed on national TV. These guys aren't used to losing, much less being dominated. If we can come out swinging and not let them get back into a groove I like our chances.

It'll take a lot more than 269 offensive yards to beat OU, yeesh. Our D kept us in that game and we were up 7-0 at half. I remember our offense not being able to do jack squat against them in the 2nd half. Also of note, last year in Norman Barnett and Co only mustered 245 yards of offense and again they made halftime adjustments and BLANKED US AGAIN in the 2nd half. I'm definitely okay with Jantz getting his shot to do better against them than Meyer and Barnett did. And I fully believe he will find a way to at LEAST score once, let alone a couple times in the 2nd half (seems to be his half, or even just 4th Q.)

In theory, I agree.

However, we're 5-67-2 all-time against OU. We need to freaking beat these guys at some point.

We need to beat OU for the first time in 22 years. We have never defeated them on Big XII play. We have never beat them in the Jack, ..... Go State!

I watched Jamelle Holieway (OUs starting QB) eat hot dogs and talk to cheerleaders by halftime one year. God that sucked.

There were no secret halftime adjustments by OU last year. Their D blanked ISU the entire game. The only points ISU scored was on a 1 play 10 yard drive. Thankfully, I don't think OU's D is as good this year, and the game is at home, so I think ISU will do better.

Steele is no different now then the UNI and UCONN games last year. He has great games but horrible decision making and can't play against a good D. So douchy...maybe but honestly feel that way. I'm also not saying he's not out best option at this point. It's just crazy he has a great game against a terrible D and I read on here how great he is and some people saying NFL talent cracks me up! Lets be realistic here, I'll be rooting for the Cyclones either way but 4 ints is not unrealistic.

I don't think Jantz needs to bring his "A" game, he just needs to limit mistakes and not try to do too much.

He made one bad decision with the ball last night (the one that should have been picked and hit the ref), and had one terribly executed throw (the one that did get picked; he was going to the right guy, just horrible execution).
