One win from b. eligibility, Kansas left on schedule, ISU's playing with house money, right?

Respectfully disagree. The goal shouldn't be six wins and a spot in a middling bowl anymore. This is a program that, warts and all, is good enough to get seven or even eight wins this year. I'm not saying they will, I'm just saying the the program has progressed to the point where the bare minimum for bowl eligibility is what the team and the fanbase aspire to.

No. Kansas is not a gimme. They play tough ball in Lawrence, and we have a long, sordid history of not showing up to play a complete game down there.

Whoever is covering Kenny Stills (I guess Reeves) needs to get in that guy's head. Notre Dame frustrated the hell out of him and when he finally made a play, he yapped his mouth off and committed an offensive penalty that negated OU's last chance to score any points.

Got to make Jones uncomfortable in the pocket with pressure. Not sure what team will show up for either team, but if we play our A game we definitely have a shot. We are one game behind OU in terms of W's vs L's. We need to be nasty all around as a team and fan base.

Kansas's confidence was shattered yesterday, but still will be a tough game down in Lawrence. I was pulling for them to beat Texas.

I think the game boils down to whether or not Ubben picks us as the upset special. If he picks us, our chances looks pretty slim. :twitcy:

Silly me. I was more thinking OSU 2011, Texas 2010, Nebraska 2009....
Don't be fooled, Baylor's defense last night was bad. Find a way to pass block against OU, like we did agaist BU and you have a chance. OU has to make some mistakes for us to have a chance...
OU made some mistakes last night. If Wally can control their running game the way he did Baylor's, I like our chances.

As CPR always says - every game is big game - OU down with 2 losses - we need to win the turnover margin by at least 3.

This game will serve as a bonus. If we can pull it off great. We have nothing to lose.

If we can't run the ball at 4.0ypc+, we won't beat OU. If we become one dimensional they'll curbstomp us.

Imo if we cannot pass against OU, they will curbstomp us. We know they are not going to respect our passing game. If we cannot take advantage of that, we have no chance to move the ball. Comes done to how well Jantz can mitigate pressure imo.

They are not the typical OU unless you are KU or have a defense as bad as Texas you can beat these guys especially in Ames.

Saw some ND fans on ESPN dogging KSU because one of their wins was against ISU. Obviously they are clueless, but this team still has a lot to prove.

Would love to see the look on that ND fan's face if ISU beats OU as well.

I agree this isn't the typical OU of old that we need to fear. And when SJ is hot and plays a complete game like he did last night, anything can happen. I know the BU defense is bad, but probably not as bad as their ranking because of who they have played. But last night SJ put pass after pass on a rope and right on the money. After his worst pass of the night (the int) he bounced right back on the next series stepping into his throws with purpose, and of course we're all hoping that he turned a mental corner last night. He can be as good as any qb in the conference when he gets a little time, so that will be crucial against OU. He of course is also great at escaping pressure, which he will have to do against OU. I'm trying not to get too carried away about SJ yet, but I saw a confident qb last night playing with some mental toughness. He's got NFL physical tools if he can get the mental part of the game in his grasp. And when our offense plays well, our defense goes from good to great. I think we have a legitimate shot at OU.

It's definitely a big game, but I think its funny how it seems like every time we play off of a win, fans dub it the "most important game since whenever". See Texas Tech, Kansas State, and now OU.
