I took a look at the complete list and was surprised to find two others in the Top 5 at schools in Kansas. Then, I kept seeing Kansas on the list.

19 of the Top 100 are currently enrolled at Kansas community colleges! Why such a concentration in Kansas?

Not real sure why but its been that way for a long while. Maybe because B.Snyder built KSU w/ a lot of JUCOs, and that was a good way to get seen by them? Also if there are a lot of high level players in one JUCO conference good way to go against the best and get picked up based on performance.

I think Kansas has some strong JUCO programs like Butler who finished in 2nd this year and Coffeyville. Looks like Hutchinson was another strong school in the conference. I was talking with a KSU fan and I thought he said that they have had some quality transfers from Coffeyville.

I thought I remembered reading Snyder had huge success with JUCO and would funnel borderline players to colleges in Kansas for him to be able to recruit later. If that happened and those JUCOs got reputations, I'd imagine they got a pipeline even if Snyder had quit doing that.

The Kansas JUCO system was strong long before Snyder became coach at KSU. Don't know why, but they've always been strong.
