Texas/OU game is like watching a bad car wreck that in the end is just a grandma hitting a cat, and a post got me to thinking. How would you rank the Big XII basketball arenas? Not on capacity but just overall atmospheres.. Top 3 for me KU, ISU, KSU I'll wait till later to post the remaining ones

1. KSU
2. ISU
3. KSU
4. OSU (If they're good, otherwise it's a pretty average atmosphere)

5. WVU (although it might not be good this year since they are having a rough season)

6. OU
7. Texas

8. Baylor

9. TT

10. TCU

Right now? Yeah, KU, ISU, KSU. There was a time GIA (Ok St) was very, very good. UT when they have been winning for awhile and the team has a lot of hype could make the top 4. I know nothing of WVU.

The fans at KSU are solid, but their arena can't touch Hilton and isn't top 3. OSU's arena is awesome. WVU's arena looks pretty cool on tv and in photos but never been there. Crazy thing is 3 of the 4 teams that left the conference had crap hoops fanbases and/or arenas.

Come on now, the Devaney Center was top 2... :pwink:

I would be interested to see fans of other Big 12 schools address this topic. I bet that KU would be a consensus #1, but I wonder if Hilton would be consistently in the #2 slot.

The building was nothing great (competed there in high school sports a lot) but the building was a lot better than the Creighton fans who left it empty and pretended their team didn't exist.

That new arena they are getting looks really nice. It won't help them out with their team or fanbase though so the point is moot haha

The best strategy for Nebraska basketball might be to paint the court blue and move their team to Omaha, some fans might stumble into the Husker game by accident.

They would be better off just painting the court like a football field. I bet you'd be able to confuse enough of their drunkers for a least the first half, that is until they realize they've been losing the whole game.
