I need to start shoveling snow in a t-shirt and shorts. Start sweating almost immediately, guess I'm no RW.

You are probably one of the jackasses that need to drive just under the speed limit when the you cant see any lines at all. I also hate the people that need to pass me, just to fly snow into my face and make it even more difficult for me to drive and see. With the wind, some stretches are fine and as your asshat self passes me there is no visibility of either lane and I just have to hope I keep on it. For the people in Ankeny, I35 around there is terrible, that new stretch is worse than terrible and i feel bad for you.

Some cars don't take snow very well. For instance I almost got stuck at a stop sign today because my taurus sucks in snow. It's dangerous for some cars to go faster than 20 in this weather.

I went out at 5:45 to see if I should try to clear any snow before we left for work and I was surprised how little we had. Maybe a couple of inches, hard to tell with the wind picking up. Instead I opted to shovel out an exit path at 7:15, and I was surprised how much more snow we had in just 90 minutes.

Streets in Ankeny were bad as of an hour ago, and I-35 from Ankeny to Ames was not pleasant either. I think it's just because so much of this hit just before rush hour and plows haven't had a chance to catch up yet. If the snow had fallen a few hours earlier the drive this morning wouldn't have been too bad by Iowa winter standards.

I drove my Corvette to work. If that thing can handle the roads then yeah everyone should be safe going the speed limit.

2 of my morning professors are from DSM...... Of course on a day like this they would venture up and not cancel class. Instead I wake up to tweets and statuses about other professors canceling.

There is a lot of fail and irony in this post.

What he forgot to mention is that the people going 20 mph are all bumper to bumper on the interstate. While the people going faster are giving plenty of stopping distance.

I never really understand those people. They go so slow yet still tailgate the car in front of them.
