I do not think the women have had gold unis for a while. I think that they received the pink ones instead for the Play 4 Kay games.

IIRC, the last time the women wore gold unis was vs K-State in the 2008 Big 12 tourney -- the game where Lacey scored with a few seconds left and KSU had a shot roll out at the horn. [EDIT: I guess they were worn the next day vs. A&M, too.]

That was in the old uni set, right before the logo change. I don't think they even have a gold uni in the current set.

The golds rarely came out, maybe once every other year. Usually it was against Texas Tech, either in Lubbock or in Kansas City, during the Taylor/Welle era.

There was a uni with a lightning bolt on the side. It was short lived- reportedly the team didn't care for them.

BF told us at his lunch today that next year's 3rd uniform is grey. Apparently very popular with the buying public, but obviously not with the die-hard fans in attendance.

Not much else of note today. He did say we are competing for 3-4 players with top tier teams on their short list. That the next couple years are relatively rich in good players in the midwest.

Reaction of normally level-headed people to this:

If it's (1) not a school color or (2) a road baseball/softball uniform, then gray has no place.
