Referee Tom O'Neill Again!!!

This wasn't the first mistake by Tom O'Neill in an Iowa State vs. Kansas game in which Iowa State lost in overtime. February 21, 2004 game at Kansas. Jared Homan was at the free throw line to shoot TWO free throws, but after the first a Kansas player grabbed the rebound and started a fast break. The ISU players paused, especially Jared who was holding up two fingers and yelling that he didn't get to shoot his second free throw. Kansas ran down and shot a 3-pointer while ISU was in a daze. Wayne Morgan vehemently protested and they were awarded a second free throw, but the 3 points for Kansas remained. Kansas went on to beat ISU in overtime. Tom O'Neill should not be allowed to referee anymore ISU games.

I'm not slamming you but this isn't news. It was discussed in the other threads about the KU game.

I would hope that JP makes a case with the conference office that he doesn't care what they do re: O'Neill officiating other teams' games but they should never again assign O'Neill to an ISU game.

Considering this is your first post can we assume you haven't read the other 32 threads and seen the 50 uploaded videos of this.

I think it's safe to say O'Niell will never again ref an Iowa State game as long as ISU is in the Big 12.

I thought I remember years ago that Johnny Orr petitioned the Big 8 to prevent Ed Hightower from reffing any games at Hilton so long as he was coach. Any truth to that? Time to do that again with O'Neill?
