Crap. I totally forgot after Kate became pregnant she demanded Great Britain take back the US.

Unbelievable that we have to go through this again.

A lot of people don't know this, but they knew all about the Kate/Andrew (?) wedding years ago. That's why the Brits planned out 9-11. They lured our military into an overseas trap. Meanwhile, they'll just sneak right into our homeland for a hostile takeover.

It's not the craziest thing I've heard today.

Andrew is his uncle.

I think it's safe to say O'Niell will never again ref an Iowa State game as long as ISU is in the Big 12.

Unfortunately, I doubt it. I wonder if there's precedence for a remedy like this?

I can see it now. Big twelve conference championship, Kaplan U shoots a 2 shot foul. Miss and Niang rebounds, throws a pass to Magee for a three. Lets see how the Big 12 office handles that. They'll probably apollogize to KU and call the game a forfeit!:angry6wn:

I always wondered what would have happened if ISU had walked off the court after that play. Morgan fired? Happened anyway. Vandeveld would have punished the players instead of backing them. Any officiating crew would have blown the whistle to stop the game after the 1st freethrow. I mean any GOOD crew would and should have.

The only thing I have been able to come up with is probably the officials erroneously indicated 1 and 1 rather than 2 before giving Homan the ball. That would explain why all of the KU players took off down the court and the officials didn't blow the whistle. If you watch Homan he is too busy talking to his teammates about defense after the shots to probably notice what was called. Unfortunately none of the camera shots show the official indicating the shots before the ft.

I'm not slamming you but this isn't news. It was discussed in the other threads about the KU game.

I would hope that JP makes a case with the conference office that he doesn't care what they do re: O'Neill officiating other teams' games but they should never again assign O'Neill to an ISU game.

This Kansas mystery 3 may not be news considering how many times we've talked bout the bs but I didn't know it was that same idiot ref

I'm just saying the fact that O'Neill was working that game as well was discussed at length on here after Monday's fiasco. I didn't say that every poster had read it.

"Great job by the officials to get the call right"

That might be the dumbest line I've ever heard an announcer say after a play like that.

That's like having a fire department burning down an abandoned house on a windy day for training only to have the fire get out of control and torch the whole town. The fire department eventually gets the fire put out but the town is nearly totally destroyed. "Good job putting out that fire Mayberry FD!"

I don't care if he refs another ISU game, but he definitely shouldn't ref a KU game again.

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but I found a very similar circumstance involving Referee Tom O'Neill in a Syracuse game. This was on the Syracuse fan website posted by Mike Waters.

"Syracuse fans might recognize one of the three officials' names (Referencing the ISU-Kansas game Monday night). Yep, Thomas O'Neill. He was the referee who botched the charge/block call against Brandon Triche in the NCAA East Region final against Ohio State last year in Boston. O'Neill then assessed a technical foul against Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim."
