I wouldn't be that way towards the fans, but I never liked mizzou when they were in the conference in basketball, certainly didn't change that by going to the SEC where basketball is a hobby sport.

Yea not really a fan of Meth U. I feel bad for the Mizzou fans that saw how stupid the move to the SEC was going to be and wanted to stay in the Big 12.

I never had much of an issue with them when they were in the Big XII although they were always a bit annoying.

When they abandoned us and sold out, I just suddenly felt all this anger toward them. They betrayed tradition and almost took down the league. Of the 4 schools that left, they are the one that had the least legitimate reason to and the one I am the most angry with. When thinking as to why they left, it really makes NO sense to me.

Now Missouri can finally be what it has always wanted to be - the last bastion of the old Confederacy and as redneck as some of their other SEC brother states.

Since Mizzou left I've really become an Iowa St fan for Big 12 games. I like Fred Hoiberg and think his loyalty to his hometown and home school is an impressive thing that you have to root for. I went to see Iowa St play in Lawrence this year and the people in my section knew I was rooting for you guys.

I took my wife downtown today for lunch and to spend some time at the Big 12 tournament festivities. We're both Mizzou fans and with Mizzou playing today we had Mizzou shirts on. We saw quite a few Mizzou fans there. We had friendly conversations with fans of most schools but the Iowa St fans were the only ones who were rude to us. Explaining I was rooting for them did nothing. I knew kU was hated by you guys but was surprised to see me and my wife treated like a rival would be treated. Is there a big thing between you guys and us that I didn't realize? And again good luck tonight!!

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just taken aback by how you and your wife have the same eyes, nose, smile, etc.

Ive hated Mizzou basketball for as long as I can remember. Started with Norm and Continued with your coke head Dookie coach. Never met a Mizzou fan though.

All I care about, is playing a fair game. I never complained with Missouri. These guys have other issues, but I would never treat a fan from another team poorly unless they deserved it. I was sitting at a game the other day, and the teams that were playing the fans were intermixed. One fan was constantly screaming and berating the referees. I thought a man, fan from the other team did right by telling the man to shut up.

I think fans need to be rabid, but at the same time good sportsmen. I complain about the refs when I think there is cause, but I wouldn't be obnoxious to another teams fans unless they start it. I don't know if you are legitimate or a troll. I have my doubts ISU fans would treat you the way you described. Could you send film, or pictures, proving your allegation?

What I hate most is how Nebraska and Missouri dumped all tradition and senses of loyalty to their former Big 8 rivals. Iowa state is now on a geographic island in the Big 12 with no bordering states. That is not something I will forget or forgive easily. I don't hold it against individual Missouri fans as I honestly think most would have rather stayed, I do blame the institutions and greedy presidents and ADs. Nebraska on the other hand, I hope the whole state of Nebraska suffers forever for their greed. May their teams be as mediocre as their University is. If Missouri wanted back, I would gladly take them with about a 50 year grant of rights. Definitely bush league chanting SEC at the Big 12 tourney, Big 12 fans were universally pleased with Missouri's crash and burn in the dance last year as a result.

I really agree with this. We are the ones that got hurt here. This is a really big problem.
