From Twitter:

@ebosshoops: Rick Barnes, Travis Ford and Bruce Weber amongst those watching Myles Turner. SG Nick Babb stealing the show for Twxas Select.

It'll be interesting to see how the little Babb develops. The general consensus has been that he isn't quite a high major prospect yet. And it would seem that we have some pretty good targets for his year already and not a lot of scholarships to go around. But the sentimental mom part of me wants him at Iowa State because wouldn't that just be perfect since I am going to miss watching Chris, blah, blah, blah. And who wouldn't want someone who learned from a player who obviously worked really, really hard and turned into an awfully good basketball player.

Here nor there
IMO it has always come down to whether he was considered to be a off guard/ shooting guard or a forward. Athletic 6'4" SF without good perimeter skills can be good gets, but are meh early in the process. If he is a SG he is a high major player.
That said, I have been high on him regardless, as I think at the very least he would be a great fit for that 3rd guard position we have had success with (Horton in 2000 and Chris Babb in 2012).

The thing is this. If Nick Babb was a high d1 player. I am sure we probably would have offered him already. Whats Cato's sons first and last name

Obviously, he hasn't been a high priority yet, but that doesn't mean he won't be. And, frankly, one good tournament doesn't mean he is a high major recruit to begin with.

That being said, he's at least been a little bit on Iowa State's radar just because he is Chris' brother. For example, he sat with the recruits when he was in town for senior day.

Another Babb. Another Ejim. A Hoiberg twin in ten. How about son of Cato?

My college roommate's girlfriend at the time babysit for (allegedly) Cato's kid. I'm not sure if he really was Cato's kid or not. The kid was 3 or 4 years old and like 5 ft tall, though. He'd be about 18 now...

I'd love to have them all if they can contribute. That said, they aren't their brother/dad so no point in considering them the 2nd coming. Think Charles Boozer.

I worked with his mom. I don't think he'd be more than 15 or 16 now. I'll have to look her up...

College roommate's girlfriend babysat him? Sadly, I actually trust that more than Dennis Dodd. Every article of his that I read, this quote immediately comes to mind:

Hey, I'll tell you what. You can get a good look at a butcher's *** by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn't you rather to take his word for it?
