On an unrelated note, I'd like to announce that I accept the party's nomination for President of the United States!

That is kinda funny. Maybe if somebody had been impersonating the Cal coaches and said they are offereing him a scholarship that something might be illegal with that. Not sure though.

"The Nevada Interscholastic Athletics Association is looking into the matter as well, and executive director Eddie Bonine told the Gazette-Journal, "It could be that someone was impersonating those schools." "

Would any of you commit to a school, or seriously consider any - without a recruiting visit?

Fishy..

As an aside - didn't we have a basketball player who sorta recruited himself to ISU a few years back under LE? Not really similar circumstances, but I remember a story where somebody called and said they accept our offer to come - when we didn't extend one. But we took him anyway?

Or is my senility getting worse?

I made myself eligible for the NBA draft after my senior year of high school. We did an article in the newspaper about it. I thought for sure someone would take a second round flier on me and my upside.

I annouced the the ISU paintball club I was running for president last time around. I think I might have been the only person who voted for me though.

Man, I need to contact this kid, tell him I need $500 cash in order to offer him a scholarship to my "school", how gullible is this kid?

Even if a school was looking at him before this I think I'd be concerned what kind of idiot I was recruiting that would fall for something like this.
