This is almost BYU-like in terms of conduct code. Get charged, charges are dropped, and still lose your right to play.

He, he was charged with raping a blackout drunk girl and it was dropped because they couldn't prove it. I don't feel very terrible for him right now.

The only problem with trying to go after someone for this years team if then you have one less scholarship for the 2014 class. It would be nice to pick up someone but I want as many 2014 scholarships as possible.

Bubu was a senior.

Edit: Scratch that, read post wrong. Could still get a JUCO senior? But I see what you mean.

Even though he was found not guilty, I still feel like that smudge is always there. He chose to hang out with the wrong people and probably got involved in a situation he could have easily walked away from.

A former walk-on who made 57 field goals in three years. I understand Bubu has his fans on this site, but this shouldn't be a huge loss.

Well, I have a real problem with codes of conduct overriding law in a situation like this. What did he do that violated the code of conduct? The court said nothing, right? It's like in high school when a kid who was 18 was seen by a staff member smoking. He had to sit out two games because of that because it was against a code of conduct that you had to sign to play anyway. Obviously rape is so much more serious but when the legal system can't do anything, I don't know how the school can. All of that said, don't hang out with losers.

I agree with this. Bubu would of had his role on this team but I don't think it will be a huge loss. I'm more upset that we could still have Amardi right now.

It may hurt our team overall, but at least it gives the young guys more experience. No use ******** about it, Monte better have hisbigboy pants on!

apparently not the future.
His one and only flaw :jimlad:

But this is kind of a big deal. Even if he didn't live up to Hoiberg's huge expectations this year, Palo has always held his own and moved the ball well as a backup in Big 12 play, even if he himself was not scoring much. His defense was pretty good too. It's a lot to ask a true freshman to fill the same role (note how few minutes Long got in conference play last year).
