That was a win, but it shouldn't have been been that close, if we're as good as I think we can be. It's a mental thing. These girls won't see 7K fans in the conference on the road, unless some AD gives tickets away again within driving distance.

Texas and Nebby will have a lot of fans there, but for the most part yeah, this is one of the tougher environments to play at!

CJL was pretty clear that the team was going to be really young and if things worked out right towards the end of the season they could be really good. Of all of the great coaches we have (and it is pretty much up and down the line at Iowa State), she just might be the best. So I expect there to be some hiccups and I also think she spends some pre-conference games figuring things out.

We need blocking!

UNI announcers pretty much ignored Iowa State players bios (many are from Iowa and one from Waverly just up the road) and substitutions. They should be UNI homers but it was one of the poorer quality of color, player-by-play and general awareness of an in-state rival (who is ranked) I've seen. The picture horrible and the pre-game intro was if they had blinders on.

I liked the color analyst fine. She seemed very respectful of Iowa State, but pointed out when we made nervous mistakes.

I had to laugh when the girl made a comment about Hurtt being there forever (she's a Jr)........do you really think that or is it because you don't realize she's a different person from Victoria Henson........someone with the same number, first name, physical likeness, home state, and position?

I'm really glad we were able to watch the game through their network, but yeah, made me really thankful for the quality of cyclones.tv announcers and picture quality!
