Re: Rashad Vaughn

Good work on the avatars.

That would be great if he pulls a Marcus Smart and sticks around:

Morris
Thomas
Vaughn
Niang
Diallo

Done and Done.
My goodness. And with Custer, Cunningham, Ilikainen, Jarvis Johnson, SDW coming off the bench. I seriously just went from six to midnight. There's no way that wouldn't be a top 5 team right there.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

These roster projections are getting a little out of hand now. Remember when we used to throw Jaylen Johnson into a roster projection? Look how that ended up...

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Yet another SG that Ol'Roy is recruiting, that CF's should keep an eye on...
Alex Kline@TheRecruitScoop 1h After an in-home visit with Indiana on Thursday, North Carolina will have an in-home with 2014 Marion (IN) SG James Blackmon today.

I believe Robert Johnson is predicted to choose between North Carolina or Indiana next week. Though I believe Blackmon has a Kentucky offer too. Obvously Blackmon choosing either UK, Indiana (pushing Johnson to UNC) or him just selecting UNC would affect Rashad's decision. All would be good for ISU chances.

If I have my recruit story straight with Blackmon, he committed to Indiana before he played one second of high school basketball and just recently he decommitted from them and is now getting attention of UNC and Kentucky. The recruitment of Blackmon, Johnson, and Devin Booker will definitely affect Vaughn's recruitment.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker have been throwing around the idea of playing together in college and Ulis was recently quoted (Tyler Ulis – Day Before Decision (Highlights & Interview) | IA Elites) saying, "...hopefully that happens." Ulis is choosing today between Iowa, Michigan State, and Kentucky. He is rumored to be a heavy Kentucky lean and by heavy I mean his 247 Crystal Ball (Tyler Ulis's Crystal Ball Predictions) has 41 predictions and they're 100% Kentucky. If Ulis goes to Kentucky and Booker goes with, the chances of Blackmon or Johnson choosing UNC will increase. UNC and Kentucky may be too crowded for Vaughn, as Jeff Borzello tweeted (https://twitter.com/jeffborzello/status/377479865902960640) the other day. Borzello also replied to a guy saying Kentucky may not be willing to wait for Vaughn (https://twitter.com/jeffborzello/status/377504235329298432). ISU's chances are growing as the scholarships available at other schools decrease.

right on.

And right now, RV is well aware that he is the ONLY SG we are after at the moment, and we've been after him since he was in 8th/ 9th grade. While these other schools are courting 2, 3, 4 SGs trying to get a commitment.

Exactly. Recruits love being the priority and RV is definitely our priority. Other schools are making multiple guys their target but not giving one their 100% attention. RV is going to love all of the attention the ISU staff is going to give him between now and his decision.

I agree this can't hurt us. Frankly, our recruiting strategy is quite different than UK, KU, UNC, etc. because if we miss, we'll be better off filling in with a juco or transfer, whereas they probably aren't as likely to look at those markets and don't usually need to unless they had a class with several deflections.
