I think Tommy has probably valued himself a little too much. AKA, has a big head. No doubt he's a good football player, but his attitude can a lot of times not translate to success at the college level. He needs to refocus himself on being a football player and maybe not so much of being his own best cheerleader.

You can really assess that based on a few tweets? Wow.

By the way, maybe you should check out his stats so far this year. He's doing a pretty good job on the field.

The way some of you act about 16, 17 and 18 year old kids is really strange. He is under no obligation to you or me or anyone other armchair fan. If he is in communication with the coaching staff about his movements, that is all that matters.

Get a grip.

Yes. My opinion is based off a tweet or two from last night. (<---That's sarcasm) I'm basing it off a few different things. Another example is his worry about getting another star by his name. I've seen that from him a couple times. The crap he pulled with Lazard is another example. Testing an already committed recruit about getting a jersey number? A lot of kids his age are "about me", but some are more concerned than others. I don't like his attitude. If you like it, cool. Oh, and as far as stats go, Rob Standard broke Montee Ball's high school records. What's he contributed so far? How about Lazard? His stats are nothing impressive. (No, that's not a shot at Lazard for the thick skulls) Getting caught up in high school stats is a dumb idea.

Don't argue with Ribs. It is not worth the effort. Just let him an Aclone have their backslap parties on the forthcoming greatness of Cyclone football.

This is a gem:

When we lose to Tulsa will you stop? Posting that is? You have done nothing but tell everyone how great this season and team and coach were going to be , and look. You could not have been a bigger idiot. Get off the board.

I suggest you take your own advice, *******.

So Aclone continue to plague the board. I will accept that for a win. But the way you two morons browbeat fans that questioned the progress of ISU's program was and is ridiculous. And everyone can now see how much you know about football and what it takes to be successful.

The big positive I take away from this debacle of a start is it shows you for what you are. Completely clueless. And I still consider 1-2 with a loss to UNI and a toothless Iowa a debacle.

Hypothetical question. You only get 1 to pick from.

Tommy Mister or Jeff Jones as a Cyclone
I hate those games. :swoon:

CPR did mention on his call in show last week that he had two running backs committed that he considered to be "big and fast". So much for where Mister is going to play.

Interesting offer out: Scout.com: Qujuan Floyd Profile

Edit: Rivals profiles says he's a December grad: http://rivals.yahoo.com/iowastate/football/recruiting/player-Qujuan-Floyd-151847

Jones has 24 TD's through 5 games.

I'd be fine with either of them being the future of RB @ISU

Very interesting thought, actually. While it would be nice to have both, I think having a quality running back who I consider to be more of a "sure thing" (as far as recruits go, when we have no idea how they'll translate to this level), and that would be Jeff Jones. Mister and the /slasher/ position he plays seems to be more of a luxury. While he could be a great player and play both WR and RB, I think he may be more of a "jack of all trades, master of none." Really hope I'm wrong and we end up with both, though!

Anyone here any news from Jeff Jones recently?

It'd be nice to get him here for an official visit.
