A friend at work said that on TV Ejim was in pain and grimacing towards the end of the Michigan game. I was at Hilton and didn't pick that up at all. Is there any word on how many minutes Ejim is expected to play vs. BYU?

He seemed to be feeling pretty good in his post-game interview. I'd be surprised if he was feeling any pain with all that adrenaline running through his body. Haven't heard any reports of how it felt today.

I wouldn't believe your friend at work as Hoiberg said in the post game interview that ME said he didn't have any pain or discomfort during the game and hoped he would wake up today with no pain also.

I didn't notice that on TV. And a little plain isn't going to keep Ejim out anyway.

Yes, I'd love to hear what all the "insiders" have to say on this one. Particularly the folks that said there was "no chance" Ejim plays against Michigan. Here's some information according to a well known expert - myself. He'll ice the hell out of his knee and play Wednesday with the same energy and effort as Sunday. The brace prevents another hyper-extension. I'm guessing he'll have some swelling and soreness after such effort for the foreseeable future. But he's in the lineup going forward. Nothing points to him not.

I just heard from John Walters on the radio show that he had no pain after the game or this morning. Very good news.

I saw the same thing with less than a couple minutes left in the game. He acted like he was in pain as if he had just sprained and ankle, not the look as if he was just tired and needed a break. I watched him (actually his knee) to see if he was favoring it at a timeout that had been called but he seemed fine. Scared me a little but no mention of anything. Probably physically as well as mentally just exhausted.

I could see him playing Wednesday and playing sparingly or getting the night off next Monday against UMKC which would give him another week and a half of game rest.

I didn't notice him limping, but I could tell he was winded late. Hell, even in game shape he would have been winded playing so many minutes in the 2nd half.

They've got to be smart about playing him, but if we learned anything yesterday, we learned that no one is going to out-tough Mel. He played with reckless abandon without any visible concern about his knee.
