Front row people who stand there with their thumbs up their butts and a clueless look on your face, give you seat up for the die hards and people who actually wait in line to get those seats. The CAC does not deserve those seats. You make our student section look like crap.

And Flag Guy.... I'm still mad at you. Shame on you for taking a seat from one of those who camped out for 36 hours for those seats.

Hey guys. You even made the news up here in the Twin Cities. They said this story is for you, Randy - Randy Shaver, sports anchor, is an ISU grad. They said you were waiting in line for tickets. I don't think they understand how it works.

In another thread they said you made the news in Indiana, too.

I'd seriously get a group of the campers to request to talk to JP. If he's willing to drop off porta potties, I think he would listen. That is garbage, if true, that the camper got moved. The seats better be very well marked as reserved.

I'm serious as a hearty attack, some fanatics need to join Cyclone Alley and change this. Maybe the execs of CA should have their reserved seats in the back, there if they choose not to wait inline?

Agreed. That's a garbage move, if that's the story.

Anybody on here know Flag Guy? If this story is true, that is seriously messed up. There's no reason for him to have a front-row seat... All he does is run across the balcony once during the whole game. Give him a reserved aisle seat on the second level.

I was in line for 7 and a half hours, and ended up behind many people that were there for an hour or two.

A rope and some light barriers to prevent people from budging? Please.. A group of 3 people in front of us grew into a group of 20 before we knew it, and WE were the bad guys for workin our way in front of them (these people also didn't know that we stood the whole game.. So they were very experienced..) it's whatever, we could've told them to F off but it wouldn't have accomplished anything. By the time they're letting the students in, it's turned into a miniature Kansas from last year and a large amount of the most diehard fans were replaced by a large amount of people who just go because everyone else does it.

Life's unfair and you have to do what you can to get your rightful place in line, but if they think that system is going to work for KU they are DREAMING.

End rant.. Feel sorry for the kid who camped out that got replaced. He was there waaaaay longer than me and is the one that should really be complaining. Total BS, and I really hope the Hilton staff/athletic department figure this out before it becomes an even bigger issue.

I waited with a group of guys starting at 2:30 and we figured we would be solid for middle of the lower bowl. When we got there and saw how many people there I figured we would make the lower bowl easy. It ****** me off to see the line in front of us double then triple and all of a sudden we had probably 700 people ahead of us instead of 200 like it was when we first got there. We BARELY got lower bowl! I head some people got third row who started waiting at 5:30 pm because they hopped in line with people they knew. What a joke. But then again who am I to complain when one of the campers got kicked out of his spot by that ****** flag guy. Nobody is entitled to a spot unless you get your *** out there and wait to earn it. I hope the athletic department/cyclone alley take control of this because it is a complete joke how screwed over people got today.

They're going to have to start handing out numbered tickets. Cutters suck.
That or establish some sort of system that the more games you go to (women's and men's) the better seats you get. It accrues over your time at ISU so you "work your way up" as you progress through your school years. It encourages students to go to the women's games and the people who are the most dedicated to men's and women's basketball get the best seats. It would be tough to get you with your friends but really that's wait I see is fair for people who put their time in.

I kind of hesitate to criticize students in general and especially specific students in particular, but I would add that I believe flag guy is out of line. When we attended the break game, we were sitting not far behind flag guy. He indeed stood the entire game because he was never gonna sit in Cyclone Alley. He tried being a jerk to other kids in front and one of them looked and said, hey there are little kids down here, and the rest of the row sat except when the occasion warranted everyone standing. Even though we could see, my son was gonna go tell flag guy off because of the little kids behind him, but the usher said something to him and he stood in that tunnel area by his seat instead. Not sure why he had to be told though, everyone else seemed to understand it was not a close game and there were children who couldn't see because of him. He also kept riding the other team's coach in ways that were not in the slightest way remotely amusing.

Buddy and I went over at 4:30 to get in line ans saw it was 3/4 of the way around Hilton. We said screw it and went back to his place to watch the game. Then we found out people got turned away. That should never happen.

Normally I think the CA complaints are made out to be a bigger deal than they really are, but if some of this stuff is true that is messed up and needs to be rectified.

My son had class until 5:00 and had to go, was supposed to turn in assignment in person and get part of the final for the class, the take home part (in engineering, take home not easy, just way to give you harder stuff you can't do in final testing time allotment). He hasn't missed a game all year (or the previous two years for that matter) and went over, taking his chances. Got in for the standing area, which wasn't bad for him because he is tall. Wound up lifting a girl up to see most of the game, which he didn't mind either.

If they used early admission to KU and Hoks as an incentive, they would have much better attendance for the other games from the students. Turning away students who have school as a priority seems wrong.

I hate hearing about the volume of students who cut in line. This has got to stop. I agree that numbered tickets is the way to go. Then, an hour before the door opens, the guards line people up to make sure that people enter only in order.

I was at work, thats why I couldnt get in line earlier. I wasnt really disappointed that I didnt get in because I chose not to go. I just realized I do not have the time, patience, and passion to waste an entire day waiting in line.

How would numbered tickets even work? Wouldn't people just show up early, get their numbered ticket, leave and then come back closer to game time?
