Whatever... JP needs to get off the twitter... It make him look like a whiny brat... Some things don't need to be said.
Lots of students are fair-weather fans.
I think they need to find a way to keep Dance Marathon and home games at different times. It would be beneficial for both events and there is really no reason for them to be the same day.
Same with the All-State Music Festival in November, although the dates of that and Dance Marathon are set much further in advance than the athletics calendars, putting the onus on JP to avoid home games for those dates.
Doesn't the Big 12 schedule the games and times though? I think something like DM could be moved back/forward a week if it was the same time as a game with like 8 months notice. And it would be better for the event as well.
The Big 12 isn't going to schedule around student group activities.

I havent seen my refund form the Iowa game yet.
If someone kicks her down the stairs next game I will by them a beer.I bet bet it's that damn curly blonde chick. I blame her for everything.
*Big 12 basketball schedule was released in August
*Dance Marathon is probably scheduled as far out in advance as the Memorial Union allows, which is (I think) 5 years
This is just one example but for an event that uses the entire building with dozens of reservable rooms, they can't just pop in in September and say "Looks like there's a basketball game so we want to switch dates."
The overall point is that athletics should be more cognizant of conflicts, since their schedules are generally determined much later than the other conflicting events are.
I am genuinely curious how much input the member schools have in creating the schedules. It seems to me like there would be a few dates at most that ISU would want to avoid home games on each basketball season, and one or maybe two Saturdays each football season.
What really sucks is if you have a family of 4 that you are dying to get to a game and you can't find tickets. Then when you do some guy wants $200 for them....then you look up on TV and both ends of Hilton are empty. I mean, good grief...

Jamie Pollard @IASTATEAD3m
Today was why we oversell student section. Only 1400 students. Over 2100 bought tix but did not attend. Thanks to students who attended.
Maybe what they should do is start selling tickets to the general public to fill the empty student seats like 15 minutes before tip. Of course, make an announcement to students in the Daily and by email or whatever that they need to be in their seats by 15 minutes before tip-off, or whatever. Why not? Even if you only sold a few hundred extra tickets, it would make some extra money, and make the building look more full.
With that tweet, Jamie Pollard proves that he is a big ******* ******* only concerned with $$$$$
