The announcers in the game last night probably referenced ISU's NBA style offense about 10 times. That type of rep will help us get guys like Vaughn and other high quality recruits. What future NBA player wouldn't want to play in an NBA style offense?

I'm playing out scenarios in my head like a crazy person. One is that deep down he's always wanted to go to UNC - who wouldn't given the banners and jerseys in the rafters - and he's come to the decision he's always known. Trip or no trip although he could still go on the trip I guess. The other commanding scenario in my head is he watched Fred let Naz tie the game with complete confidence when he's been struggling. True players coach - I'm going to Iowa State.

May not be anything, but I saw over the weekend that there are rumblings about UNC starting to go after Peyton Allen, an emerging 2014 SG/SF from IL. Also, we have not had any type of back-up guard prospect emerged.
Or announce now and still go on a celebratory visit? But like cydkar alluded to, being logical about recruiting gets you a swift kick to the feels.

Seems like most parents would still want to go see where their son was going to go to school and play basketball, even if they were OK with him making that decision prior to the visit.
I understand the history that makes people nervous about that UNC tweet, but it really reads more like RV's parents saying that if he was comfortable closing the book on UNC without getting his parent's impressions on a visit, they were cool with it too. I'd be WAY more nervous about it if that visit hadn't been cancelled.
