I think it is spot on. It is consistent with everything that is believed to be true.
Imo, if we truly do not know (which may or may not be the case), then it is not us he is selecting. GMac may not have known Barnes was going to Skype Roy, but I bet Roy had a good idea to be Skype ready.

Every situation is different. Did anyone read the Andrew Wiggins article in SI? On the day of his announcement Bill Self had zero clue. Self sent Wiggins a text saying enjoy this day you have earned it. Self did not expect a reply. When Wiggins sent him back a simple "Thank you" Self didn't know what to think. He and his caches gathered in his office and you can imagine their reaction upon his announcement on national tv. My point: Every player is different. Maybe Rashad has given indication to his future coach maybe he has not.

I would say whatever happens this weekend neither coaching staff is done recruiting him until he has signed his LOI.

I've never heard of a player informing the coach 3-4 days before their announcement. And would be a huge **** move by the coaching staff to let it leak if they did know about his decision already.

If I recall correctly, Nigel Tribune told the ISU staff he switched back to ISU, away from Indiana, multiple days before it was announced on signing day. I think it was in Rhoads' signing day video of NT. It happens.

Or its just as conceivable that Fred does know, but in typical cool Hoiberg fashion he is not telling a soul. Lets be real here, the best way for information not to get out is to not tell anyone what you know, even your closest friends.

Personally I don't think anyone knows. Still holding out hope the timing of his twitter message with regards to his announcement, bodes well for us.

It also made me wonder if he knows or not.

It also made me wonder if he knows or not.

Was he sweating? Which direction were his eyes looking? Any nervous twitches? Could you slow down the video and do a frame by frame analysis?

I think that is his go to move when callers bring up potential recruits. Have noticed that the few times I have seen it.

I think that is his go to move when callers bring up potential recruits. Have noticed that the few times I have seen it.

I remember a while ago Fred was about to mention Jameel McKay on the call-in show and luckily Walters realized it and jumped in to cut him off, since McKay hadn't enrolled at ISU at the time. I think Fred is now extra-cautious when recruits are being brought up to avoid any issues, so that might explain some of the perceived nerves.
