Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I agree it's going to get ugly. But you also have to wonder how many of these people aren't isu fans. Lots of new accounts with minimal posts all of a sudden. I think we're going to get massively trolled this weekend. Hope the mods are ready.

Well, to be honest, this monster thread and all the avatars would be pretty troll-worthy if RV decides to go somewhere else.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Most of the people freaking out are those that just started following his recruitment a couple days ago. They are totally clueless. As crazy as the old thread pre announcement day, these noobs have taken this thread to a completely new level of stupid.
Makes sense. So tweeting out something a national recruiting analyst says means I just started following his recruitment? If it was posted, my bad. I am not going to read through a bunch of pages to see if it was posted.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

The Crystal Ball projections are an interesting novelty, but the more you think about it, the less it impresses me.

Someone "in the know" can correct me if I am wrong.

Most of these guys:

1. Know quite a bit about their respective teams or specialties

2. Know a little about areas outside their immediate area of concern, but admittedly more than most of us

3. Do this from their basement office or as a second job (or hobby)

4. Use the crystal ball system as a way to establish some credibility and legitimacy to what they do (and follow the herd, particularly the guys who seem to have good contacts)

I am sure that there are a few that are completely legit and have good contacts around the country (other basement office dwellers don't necessarily count as good contacts).

I am not convinced the crystal ball alone reveals who is who or is particularly accurate.

You can't really expect a fanbase that has a thread wih almost 10,000 posts not to have an epic meltdown. It will happen and it will be devastating...

Why all the hate? I posted something that he said. You can disagree all you want but hating on me for simply positing something from somebody who knows a lot more about the situation than we do seems wrong.

Said where? The 247 board, twitter. You said you talked to him... people just wondering what you meant by that. Because he tweeted he was hearing that just wondering if that is what you are referring too.

And this thread should probably be closed right before this happens. You know, before everybody starts acting like a 13 year old girl.

You need to stop twittering until... well until you stop acting like a teenage girl.
How am I acting like a teenage girl? I rarely post my opinion. Are we not allowed to post something actually about Vaughn?

If this isn't the meltdown, I'd hate to see what the actual meltdown looks like. I hope people are better than that.

This is nothing. It will be on the same level as our loss to Northern Iowa and Iowa in football.

Should I start a Rashad Vaughn to UNLV Day thread at 11:59 tonight and try to confuse the CF gods? Because if it's a minute early then the opposite will happen...

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I'm just so happy this is going to finally end. Sure there will be plenty more elite recruits to go after...but not under these circumstances. The whole Kaffey thing just really worries...there's no way he just stays in Vegas if he's been 'like a 2nd father' to Rashad since the 4th grade. I will be pleasantly surprised if he comes to ISU. Fingers crossed.

Yeeeeahhhh, can already tell it will not be our fanbase's best moment if RV commits elsewhere this weekend.

I'm almost hoping for it so I can make a list of the idiots.

All I will say is it would be great to watch a player like him in cardinal and gold, but if he doesn't commit to the good guys, best of luck to him. One player doesn't make a team.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

1. The crystal ball trends are kind of stupid. One person hears something and then they all go crazy.

2. Jerry Meyer might know something, he might not. He's not the end all be all of recruiting predictions.

3. It would be stupid for us to have an epic meltdown if he goes elsewhere, but I do get tired of the fact that we have to act all high and mighty when a recruit picks another school. It's OK to be disappointed and annoyed with the whole thing. I'm also guessing that this whole thread is probably making the meltdown happen a bit earlier. We are all accepting the fact that UNLV is trending. So I'm guessing that the post announcement meltdown won't be that bad.

4. These last 4 days have been sort of fun in a sick way.

5. There's no reason based on anything that has been said in the last 4 days to not think we are still in this thing.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

The annoying thing about people getting mad at me for posting Meyers "multiple sources" to UNLV quote is that if he said that but it was ISU everybody would be happy it was posted. Some need to realize not all news can be positive. If he comes here, awesome. If he goes somewhere else, good for him. At the end of day we have Hoiberg and we'll be fine. Just thought some would want to see what Meyer said. I know now not to post anything on this board.

Vaughn would love playing for coach hoiberg. But if he chooses another path best wishes to him.
