Back in my day I did 21.0 credits in the spring and made it to all the men's and women's games (the band gets in for free, shh). No excuses.
I got an internship more than 1 hour away from campus and I still come back for every single MBB game. Only one I couldn't make it to was the OU game, because I had to attend a family event instead.

I'm pretty sure students have better things to do like studying, or helping old ladies across the street.

My son is crushed. He hasn't missed a game in three years, and the company he most wants to get a job with this summer is having the pre-interview meet and greet during the game. He's not sure what he is going to do. I think he needs to put his future ahead of one game, but that's probably just me.

I had heard there is another dance marathon. So all 33000 students will be there where they will also be studying for some mid term. I had also heard all student section tickets are being made open to the public but the hitch is that the guy who dresses up as Mrs Claus in Ames has them and is selling them. So we will see about attendance.

My sources are pretty solid. But I'm admittedly drunk so I may have just had this conversation with myself.

Not trying to sound like an ***, but do you ever post anything that doesn't involve an update on your son?

Back in my day I was so poor. I couldn't afford a car, so I used to walk 6 hours to Hilton and back to watch the game, through all the ice, snow etc. The route even involved walking on the interstate. I got hit by numerous cars, buses and semis, and on numerous occasions I was so severely injured that I had to crawl to hilton on my knees, drenched in blood.

Darn the kids nowadays.

I was on a rugby team back in the 70s. We were flying back to an Iowa state game when our plane crashed in the Andes mountains...terrible crash. Up there for 9 days we decided to eat our dead friends to stay alive.

still made the next game.....

We should boo Eron Harris the entire game like they did to Kane, and break out a **** Harris chant as well.

I would definitely love for the student section to boo Harris the whole game. I'll be one doing so.. But I can imagine seeing a ton of students around me who have an idea who he is or what he did.

That said.. I'll tell them. Time for us CF students to step it up down the stretch and take over CA. Chaos and mutiny.

Somebody find a friend with a straightener.

....how about ISU come out ready to play like a basketball team with a purpose so they're not down by 20 at half, regardless of who's there to watch?

A full student section isn't going to help a team that hasn't played the same way twice all year.
