I loved looking at the smug KU fans in the crowd on Friday night.....so glad I am not them. No joy, only perpetual high expectations set by alumni spending and political bias with conference and referee community. Just smug arrogance. No journey, no battle, no agony or ecstasy. Just McDonalds Mickey D's and self-serving families coming in like vagabonds and enjoying their little social club until the NBA contract ink dries. I don't pity them.....more like disgust. They could associate with Kansas State which is noble. KU basketball is just what is wrong with college sports and the fans sitting on their fat ***** in blue are guilty parties.

Drove to KC, Pep Rally was Awesome.

Tickets were very expensive, thought I could get a decent ticket for $100, but that did not happen, it was a seller's market, lots of Cyclone Fans trying to find tickets.

fixed that for ya. There were maybe 50 or so actually Baylor fans. We had a large KU section right by us that would explode whenever Baylor scored.
Thanks for that, I was just listening to it so I couldn't tell. And it makes me happy to know that instead of ruining a ton of Baylor fans nights (who I don't really mind except that they don't support their teams well) we ruined Kansas fans' nights for the second night in a row.

Amazing turnout of Cyclone fans was the good news. Scalpers having a seller's market all day was the bad news. It is unbelievable that 10,000 fans came only for Saturday's final game!

It was the best full game crowd experience that I've ever had. I still can't get the ISU band tunes and crowd chants out of my mind.

And, give credit to the old guys. We were standing through most of the game and yelling like crazy ... even without having very many students there.

Baylor fans complaining only reason ISU won is because KC is closer to ISU. Good. Let them make excuses. So proud to be a Cyclone.

Twice as many Iowa State fans showed up as bu fans who go to their own home games. The big 12 tourney in Dallas was a morgue. Don't like it? Tell your fans to get off their butts.

Best crowd I've ever been a part of bar none. Great in the first half when the team was down and was loud, boisterous, and joyful. Seriously my favorite sporting event I've ever attended.

I was in the section to your left (102) & was embarrassed by the "cyclone" fan that is to the left of the 2 Baylor fans in the very left side of your pic. He is the type of person that gives a fan base a bad rep.

Care to elaborate on what he was doing?

Was curious about that. On television when they panned out into the crowd there was quite a bit of blue. More than green in fact. Would explain how 100 Baylor fans sounded like 1,000.

It was absolutely the most electric atmosphere I've ever been a part of. It was sublime. I've never seen that many people so happy.

Just being a d-bag to the opposing teams fans. Usher talked to him at half.
So I didn't see what happened but overheard someone in front of me reference something had happened there. Wasn't sure what took place.

I didn't talk to the Baylor couple, but I never noticed them do anything "wrong" or even remotely disrespectful. They were a couple in their 70s+, kudos to them for showing up. I don't know where they traveled from, but regardless, they didn't deserve disrespect.

I would say at least half of the "what appeared to be Baylor fans" crowd was just wearing green for St. Pattys Day.

I agree. We had a KU fan (the only one of his 3 buddies to come for the final) who was really cool and knowledgeable about basketball. And he was wearing green, but not cheering for/against anyone. He even laughed when I said we didn't have the same refs on Saturday because Bill Self fired them after Friday. As much as I hate to say it, but as I told him, he gave KU fans a good name.

I was listening to it on the radio, but it was loud. The Baylor fans made a surprising amount of noise. But when we scored it was loud and it sounded like John and Eric needed to raise their voices to be heard

It wasn't Baylor fans it was butthurt KU fans cheering for Baylor. I was completely appalled at the number of delta bravos wearing blue shirts and cheering loudly for Baylor. Unbelievable.
