Provided we still got put in the East.If ISU got a 2 seed, they'd still play a 7 seed U Conn

Lets see how Michigan would do without Stauskis, and how MSU would do without Payne. The Big 12s top two teams had their most important players injured right at tourney time. But just keep believing ESPN mr dickie V jr!I'm amazed that people care about this sort of thing still.
The top teams in the Big 10 are better then the top teams in the Big 12. The Big 12 overall was the better conference.
7 teams in the Big 12 with an average seed of 5.86
6 teams in the Big 10 with an average seed of 6.00
Since the Big 12 had better seeding, it should have done better in the tourney than the Big 10.

Parity isn't the same as better. There really is no leg to stand on when we have 0 teams playing and another conference has 3 out of the 8 teams still left, with a chance to advance all of them to the Final Four.
Head to head, the Bix XII owned the Bix X this year. The only wins the Bix X earned were in the tourney, and let's be honest Baylor laid an egg last night. The Bix X sucks as always and forevermore.
Huge reason the Big 10 has (and will continue to have) more success in the tournament over the big 12 is coaching. Its much better overall in the big 10. When two of your annual tournament teams from you conference are coached by Travis Ford and Scott Drew, you're not going to compete with guys like Izzo and Ryan. As of right now, I think its Self and Hoiberg...then a pretty big gap between them and the rest of the Big 12 coaches.
As much as I hate to admit it as a Big XII fan, it is pretty clear the Big 10 ended up being the better league the last few years. They have 3 - Elite 8 teams compared to zero for the Big XII.
Makes me really, really sad.

The Big Ten had the "better" elite teams at the top. I put better in quotation marks because I think a healthy KU and ISU in the tourney is a completely different story.
Where the Big 12 separated itself was with its depth (and not below average depth like Iowa's bench). Double round robin was a gauntlet.
