She was 3 for 3 on false kings, Robb, Renly and
Balon Greyjoy
. Then little Joff. So is it really 4 for 4 with Mel and the her Red god?

I don't thin Balon is dead in the TV series yet

careful with the spoilers folks. Make use of the Spolier feature when you post.

Guess I must discipline myself to avoid the threads here on CF related to GoT. Should have been fun to share thoughts with show watchers but people who know the answers can't seem to resist showing off here. Spoilers gotta spoil. Teasers gotta tease.

it wasn't like that. I believe it was an accident.

Probably a good idea to now put spoilers in this thread, even if they are hidden. Also, if you are watching the show only, probably a good idea to avoid most all internet discussions, as spoilers are everywhere.

marking on the cup? Not sure. It was the wedding cup, though. The cup that both the bride and groom drink from at the reception.

No, I seem to recall they showed the bottom of the cup and in the bottom it looked as though there was like a white disk in the bottom with a large symbol(also I thought the wine left in the bottom appeared to be a bit milky, showing that whatever was in the bottom of the cup was dissolving). I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time because I had no idea what was about to happen, but after thinking abot it that may have been some foreshadowing. However I could be completely imagining this in my head as we have not been getting much sleep lately, due to a teething baby.

And of COURSE the Viper was making eyes at Tyrell. Totally not in the books, but made me laugh.

Yea, I did not remember that from the book either, but the show is making the Viper into a big bisexual. Not sure I like it. Preferred him as the kick *** warrior and womanizer.

Alexander the Great liked dudes. Spartans were child lovers. Different era.

In honor of recent events, perhaps the greatest Youtube video of all time...

They posted who Joffrey's killer is on Kotaku using only information gleaned from the show. It's not a spoiler per se, but it's also not something any normal person would have noticed (therefore "cheating"). I put the link in the spoiler tag.

I clicked on this link thinking it would be obvious and I just missed it. It is really not obvious at all, but it definitely happens, and someone who was really paying attention could have figured it out. View the link at your own risk.

I thought the makeup work on Joffrey was really good. I know that doesn't get into deep philosophical hypothesis of what happened or what is happening next, but something I thought was worth mentioning about the episode. His eyes freaked me out at the very end.

I'll start by saying that I have not read the books, so I'm not trying to spoil anything - just my observations. I re-watched last night's episode over lunch today and here's what I noticed prior to Joffrey's death. When he poured the wine onto Tyrion, he wiped the inside of the cup with his finger and licked it, so that means if it was the wine that killed him it had to have been put in after Tyrion re-filled the cup. 2nd, when Margery announced the pie had arrived, Joffrey turns towards her and takes a quick drink before handing the cup to her. After he handed it to her, she sat it down near Grandma Tyrell (forgot her name). So my super-sleuthing skills lead me to believe old lady Tyrell did it.

I'm in the same boat. Don't know anything for sure. I think it was the pie that was poisoned and not the glass of wine. He eats the pie and comments on it's dryness. Also, it's clear Dontos at least knew what was going on with the way he got Sansa out of there as soon as Joffrey started acting wierd.
