If it's true that he's playing in Greece until mid-September, I would put the odds of him making it to campus much lower then.

Hopefully he'll play with that team until it's time to start class and then make it here.

I was wondering how that would work with class time.

I saw the 27pts, 17reb, 10bl, & 3assits/game in the front page article, but has anyone one seen FT%, 3pt% and FG%. I have yet to see this. Sorry if already posted, but please post again if possible.

Didn't Lucca Staiger have an arrangement he could play into the fall semester and take classes via internet?

The European U18 tourney is in July in Turkey ( for division Greece is in). I am assuming that is the team he will be trying to make and play for.

I will do this once they are able to talk about him. Plan on doing a long, extensive feature on how the heck this all went down. I'm genuinely interested in it too.

I have to play in a golf tournament with an advertiser this afternoon but will hope to tackle the story in more detail tomorrow.

Don't hit a putt until you see your line, and slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Go get 'em.

He's 7'1", athletic, can run and shoot the 3. In Fred's system, that's good enough to see floor time. You guys are seriously undervaluing his skillset.

I was responding to below. I'll bet $1,000 to your $100 if you want to stand by that statement.

I'm predicting he starts all season, averages 20mins, 10pts, 5 boards and 2 blocks.

Read the ESPN article. It says a source close to the program said GT will come off the bench behind McKay. The source also listed the starting 5 of Morris, BDJ, Hogue, Niang, McKay. I'd say that sounds about right.

I like the ************ with all this added LENGTH! ;)

With a 2nd group of Nader, Naz, Thomas, Georgios and Custer. Oh boy, that's depth, not derpth.

ESPN obviously doesn't realize McKay has to sit out the first semester (as of right now). Neither Myron Medcalf (the GT article today) or Jeff Goodman (his Top 50 next year) mention how he has to sit out or they say he's a starter. It shows how much research they actually do for their articles. Goodman is a huge blue-blood homer.
