Thought on TV shows cancelling

Does anyone know if there is a place where show creators post where they had planned on taking a show if it gets cancelled mid stride?

I was a fan of Revolution. The last episode set up a cliff hanger to the next season which is now not going to happen. I'd like to read at least a paragraph synopsis of what the thought process was. Just a piece of closure.

I've never heard of anyone doing this, but it would be nice. Anyone ever seen anything like that?

Good luck with that. Networks dont care. If its not making money they throw it in the trash.

I hear Hulu is trying to pick up Community for a 6th season. I like Community but Im not willing to join Hulu to watch it.

So many shows I have watched have been canceled on cliffhangers. Its annoying.

angry blog posts and Twitter seem to be the most popular, depending on how surprised the creator is at the news.

A lot of times a popular show will continue in another format, like a book or comic book. I don't know if Revolution was that popular though. I think they did that for the Firefly series. And if you aren't interested enough to read a book or something, you can always check a synopsis a wikipedia. I did that to learn the end of the Harry Potter series cause I didn't read the books but saw the movies.

I liked Community, but shouldn't it be just 2 years worth? Maybe one season per semester at most? Seriously, I received three different college degrees during the run of a show about community college.

I actually quit watching new shows until about the 3rd season. Except under the dome.

Don't worry, Bos, you can borrow our login. As long as you don't mock my viewing habits (I don't care what you think of Downton Abbey).

That's how I am. I didn't join Lost until the third season, HIMYM until the 4th/5th season, Big Bang Theory until the 5th season, the Office until the 3rd season.....and I made the mistake of starting revolution. Luckily, I didn't get too attached.

Believe, Last Impact, Almost Human, The Tomorrow People, Killer Women, and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland were some interesting shows cancelled. Thought Almost Human was well written and Tomorrow People had potential to grow.

I liked Almost Human...the two leads played very well off of each other...

The thing that sucks is a lot of the best shows dont really gain their footing until the second or third season because they spend most of that early time building a base for the time to come. Networks seem quicker than ever to can shows instead of giving them a chance, which i think is causing a cycle of lower viewership as nobody wants to get invested in a story only to have it axed after the first season.

As for writers telling where a story was going... there's no central place but plenty of shows have that info out there. Off the top of my head i know ST: Enterprise was about to get more interesting for T'Pol if the end hadnt been the garbage that it was. Hell, there are even stories of what writers would have done if they hadnt been replaced on shows. Season 2 of Walking Dead probably would have been better if AMC hadnt canned Darabont.
