I love Joan Allen in that movie.

I TOTALLY forgot she was in it. It had so many really solid performances. It's one of those movies that I think would be cool to review in a high school comp class or something.

Prometheus - Loved it!

ANYTHING by John Carpenter (too many to list - The Thing, Escape from NY/LA, Vampires, In the Mouth of Madness, Big Trouble in Little China, Prince of Darkness, They Live, etc.). Most people find them campy, I think they are highly entertaining and John composes his own music.

People don't like that movie?

My husband doesn't, but it may be because I've made him watch it 500 times. And that I know most of the words. So maybe that's more on me than on the movie itself.

I watch it every time it's on.

Same here, and have the DVD. I can watch Stillwell Angel get pegged with that catcher's mitt over and over.

Hmm, haven't seen Hot Tub Time Machine on your lists yet, people. CF has standards to uphold, you know.

I remember when a group if us went to see Office Space (I was in school at the time). Not really the way the movie is thought of now, but I remember it was getting hammered by critics, and not many people liked it at first. When we were in the theater, we started off quietly snickering, you know, so we weren't being those loud idiots for everyone else. About 20 minutes into the movie, nobody else was laughing...at anything. It was really weird. After that, we just decided...to hell with everyone else. We were literally rolling in the aisles (guy sitting next to me actually fell out of his chair).

Again, I know the movie was given a second life, but at the time, NOBODY liked it, and I thought it was awesome. The scene at the beginning when Michael Bolton is rapping to "No Tears", sees the guy in his review mirror, locks the door and gets quiet, then gets loud again. Gold.

I think Bram Stoker's Dracula is one of the best movies of all time, the best effects/makeup/costume movie of all time and place it right next to Coppola's most well received films.

Never understood the wide criticism, it's the best adaptation of classic source material by a mile, the Keanu Reeves and Wynona Ryder criticisms don't make sense for people familiar with the characters (they're supposed to be naive unsuspecting young lovers) and Gary Oldman's performance was among the greatest of all time. If you don't like this film you don't like the source material and/or brilliant aesthetic filmmaking. I love the book and have read it three times, the film's slight changes from the book make it superior to the book.

I have to include Hanks' maniacal laugh; the simple mitt to the face won't do it for me.

HAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!! GOT HIM!!!!!!!!

For me, I've always liked Annapolis (starring James Franco and Tyrese Gibson). Got lousy reviews and didn't break even at the box office, but I really don't mind it at all.

I love the movie Dinner for Schmucks. It's funny and has a solid cast and is just an all-around pleasant movie. The IMBD rating is like 5/10 with lots of terrible reviews. Most of my friends enjoy that movie as well, I guess I just don't see why people dislike it.
