You lost me after nearly ten minutes of fluff to start the podcast. It sounds like the goal is quantity vs. quality.
Just listening to the podcast for the first time.. a little much on the fluff to start, but whatever.
Why does Pollard want CF shutdown?! - I got that impression from him when I was talking to him once, but.. I didn't think too much of it then. But then it was mentioned in the podcast.

Ha. That was a joke and nothing more. From the PR standpoint of any company/team/school etc., message boards carry a bad stigma. PR people can't control them, hence the joke.
Iowa State has actually always been very supportive of us, Jamie included. I think most folks up there realize that message boards like this are going to exist in one way or another. They are better off having people who care about Iowa State and are in the field of journalism running them.
Shoulda kept listening! Missed a hell of a podcast! I'm hurt that you didn't want to hear about my 30th birthday.

Most of us like the banter . . . because it is like hanging out with some Iowa State buddies.
Was it news to you that the podcast starts with banter? You could just start 10 minutes in.
To me, that's what a podcast should be. Like listening to a couple of guys talk at the bar. Note that I would never start a radio show off like we do in the podcast. It's a different medium, IMO.
