Agree. It's so boring we have to call out our own and turn on each other.
So this Georges Niang character, think he'll throw one down hard this year to prove a point??
I think he throws one down big time and it will be glorious.

Goodman just chimmed in on Georges ups...
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 20m
Iowa State's Georges Niang looks as though he's dropped about 10-15 pounds. Vertical may be up to 10-12 inches now. @GeorgesNiang20
Any publicity is good publicity, right?Again, I must be the only poster on the board that thinks this sarcasm is getting a little old. Hasn't Goodman got enough mileage out of the "vertical" jokes by now? Oh well....

You are not the only one. I just tweeted to him that he is not funny, that Georges is an athlete and to show some respect. Think Georges will be mad?
Yes. Young guys don't love having mom jump in for them.
It's not a disrespect thing, anyway. The man looks like he's legitimately going higher. It's just another improvement for your pretty outstanding son.
You are right he just had me delete it![]()
Plus, it may not be a joke. I wouldn't doubt if his vertical at least looks like it's not more than about 12 inches. He will never be mistaken for an explosive jumper.Yes. Oh Shut up!
Oh Shut up! He is at a skills academy. Maybe they could focus on his skills.
I liked it better when you just said shut up. tuco is tuco is tuco.
100% agreed. Most guys that aren't as gifted physically typically have to be better technically and mentally. A major league catcher is typically one of the least gifted athletes on a baseball field yet a huge number of players that go on to be MLB managers due to their great knowledge of the game were catchers. As a fan, it kind of gets annoying...for Georges, I'd wear it as a badge of honor. There's no denying the fact that he's gained national attention as a high caliber player at his position, if not amongst the highest. If you want to say he's not a jumper...then you have to admit that doing that...is ALL HIM. He worked harder, plays smarter, does it better, and you can't say it's because he won the genetic lottery.
