LOL...three attempts already at "ISU lost, but Iowa almost lost, so there!" Iowa will be fine this year...three blown coverages made that game close - David Johnson's three long catches were the only reason UNI was in that game. Take away three of his receptions and they likely had less than 200 total yards and maybe 10 points. Those were coachable mistakes and the LB's will get better as the year goes on.

And David Johnson is a 3rd round NFL prospect this year. Pretty much one of the best backs they'll face. Iowa held UNI to 25 yards rushing. Gordan and Abdullah aren't as potent in the receiving game as Johnson is. Plus those games are at end of the season.

110 you are just being an ***. If you can't recognize it and stop are are an ***.

You are probably right Bryce I'm sure I am being an ***, but put yourself in my shoes. I've been saying these things for months, and all I heard in response was a bunch of BS like:

Addition by subtraction.... Manginious, Wally the Wizard.... Paul the master motivator...

Nothing concrete was ever discussed in retaliation. It was all hypothetical BS. All anyone had to do was look at last season, look at the roster, and then look at this season. It was that simple. There were very few Cyclone fans who wanted to look at things logically, and this "holy **** what just happened?" feeling is where that gets you. I apologize for being this blunt about it, but seriously you should all know better than to get sucked into such crap. Rhoads and JP put lipstick on a pig last offseason. The Mangino hire was the big sell this past offseason. All of it has been a big distraction from the fact, and the fact is the coaching staff isn't that good. Rhoads isn't a head coach at this level. He hasn't been able to get good enough talent to Ames in order to compete, and he's struggled mightily to develop the talent that he does have.

It's very frustrating from my perspective when I've been saying these things and not a single person wanted to hear it.

3. ISU is bad. Anyone with half a brain knew they were going to he bad. I've been saying it for awhile. Some on here have been saying it, but not many. A lot of people were cautiously optimistic and I had no clue why. Those same people argued with me nonstop about how I felt so I really don't care how you feel about it. We found out the truth today and I'm sorry that it hurts. There was absolutely delusion on this board for the past few months. Of course a loss like today's is going to wake people up. When I say the Cyclone fan base is delusional it's because of how they felt before this game. Everything obvious pointed to another crappy team, but a lot of you prefer to clutch onto whatever possible in order to justify your belief that it's better than it seemed and that to me is laughable. Wake up next time. You're better than that. A couple pump up youtube videos shouldn't be enough to dictate common sense.

Hate to say I told ya so, but the truth is I did. Chances are the majority of you are too immature to handle it and eat crow like a real man would. I'll probably get banned for saying nothing more than what I've been saying the past few months. So much delusion in Cyclone land regarding the football team. It's been going on for awhile now. JP and Rhoads have effectively pulled a blanket over a bunch of Cyclone fan's heads and a lot of you have allowed it to happen. That's the truth.

You guys wanna listen to Stormin, and Luth, and boyd, and Woody, and Curt Schroeder, and you wanna pretend like reality is something different than what it is. The truth is Rhoads is not the answer and talent just isn't there. The sooner it is accepted the better off it will be. When is basketball season?

Yeah, you are daft.

Only a Hok fan would be dumb enough to come over here and talk smack about their 1 athletic program that is better than ISU's. Oh wait, I'm sorry, Iowa is better than ISU in 2 sports... football and wrestling.

Other than that, ISU's athletics are better than Iowa's. That has to hurt.

Throw baseball in there too

Have you seen literally any other thread on this site since about the 2nd quarter of the game today? You are like a guy going to the Hindenburg crash site and saying "Yeah, I told you this b**** gonna burn. Lots of delusion around here regarding this blimp."

And add in the fact that the DB criticizing the Hindenburg works for a competing blimp company.

Look at my post history and read the concerns I've had with this year's Cyclone team. Here's an abbreviated version:

- Trouble right down the middle of the defense starting up front at DT. NDSU exposed them today. Check.

- Inefficiency at QB. More of the same here. Check.

- Inconsistency on the OL. Same ol' same ol' ISU oline. Check.

You can make all the excuses that you want to make. If that makes you feel better congrats. It's the coach's job to build depth. Farniok is a senior. They should absolutely have better options behind him, but they don't and that is on the coaching staff. It is unacceptable for a B12 team to continue to get beat by teams from a level beneath them. At what point are those teams just simple more talented?

I feel like the guy who knows for a fact his best friend's girl is cheating on him, but he can't get him to believe it. Then he finds out for himself when he sees it himself, and I'm sitting back saying "hmm I'm sorry you had to go through that, but next time maybe you should use common sense because all the signs were right there in front of you and you chose not to believe them".

And NDSU scored on two long runs and a 44 yd pass that led up to a short TD. What's your point. They are all football plays.

Why are you so obsessed about this? We get it, what you listed is pretty much right. Almost all of us were hopeful that this season was going to be different. Just like every other team. Us as fans want to be excited and losses like these hurt, but what is the point of constantly trying to shove it down our throats that you were on to something?

Are you expecting us to just say "Welp! Section(Insert # here) is saying our team is going to suck this year, better jump off the football hype train" and completely dismiss all the work these young players have done over the spring/summer?

With that rationale, I should say that Iowa's LB core almost cost them the UNI game, Iowa will lose a few games this year. You better believe me Section, and even if it does happen, I will quote you and shove this saying down your throat until you believe I'm Nostradamus.

I find it weird that Iowa fans come on here after their team won a ****** game and were lucky to pull it out. Mainly for two reasons. 1) there has to be an Iowa website to jump on and slob all over ferentz's knob for god knows what. 2) it takes an odd fan base to jump on a different fanbase's forum and talk **** when you didn't even play them. These are the guys that are terrified we may actually beat them and are the first guys to yell out "Superbowl" and "little brother" the second we score on them. Don't see many from the team we lost to on here talking ****, just the inbred hawk fans.

I'm disappointed, but not gonna have a bad weekend because of it. I was wrong today. Maybe they'll turn it around this year. Unlikely, but still a lot of football left that could be enjoyed.

Section110, you appeared to be correct about 2014 ISU fb on an anonymous message board. Definitely resume-worthy. You should proud.
