I'm trying to think does any other team in the country have yellow as their primary color? Not saying they look bad. Just brainstorming. Mizzou and WEst virginia is what I've thought of.

Waaay too much Gold IMO. Gold pants, white jerseys at home would be pretty cool occasionally, ala LSU.

Those were not gold, they were yellow. A darker shade would have looked better than the bright yellow. On our regular uniforms, why the bright yellow? The shade they had for the 2007 Iowa game was about perfect (late 70s look). Just my opinion of course.

It's funny to hear Rhoads talk about them. Alternate uniforms really grinds his gears. The leadership council of the team presented that the team wants to do it, but he says no. This isn't a big deal, but C'Mon Coach I know when you're flipping channels you're not watching the ISU games.

Usually when other schools break out new uniforms they tend to look good. These don't. If you're going to go with a solid color, bring back the all reds.

LOL. You either are not paying attention, or have unique taste. RARELY do any uni's look good; exception rather than the rule. It's harder than most people think to design sharp looking football uniforms. But I liked the gold on gold . . . think the players looked great . . . the younger players really liked them, and that's good enough for me.

So even though Rhoads is super conservative and doesn't like any form of alternate uniforms, he has allowed us to come out with white pants on the road instead of the cardinal pants, yellow jerseys with red pants, and now yellow jerseys with yellow pants.

So what is holding him back from having some white and yellow helmets as well? I can understand if he doesn't want to go down the gray route since gray isn't one of our colors, but what is so bad about a white helmet or a yellow helmet?

As for yesterday, I didn't mind them too much. I was just glad we wore the shiny cardinal helmets instead of the matte ones. I REALLY dislike the matte helmets... it is a very bad look IMO. I wouldn't mind if I never saw those again.

Keep winning and they can wear whatever the hell they want. I know alternate uni's are the trendy thing, but I just do not care. Alternate uniforms are fun; going to bowl games are more fun. Just win.

Win baby win. That's all I care about. Not my favorite uniforms, but they stick out and that's kind of the trendy thing right now. I think it's a marketing thing for JP. It's created a lot of attention for ISU.
