What's really funny about this is that some unpaid intern at McDonalds corporate who is in charge of their Twitter account for the fall semester generated all this buzz. Guy is getting the job done in social media. Everyone crying about it is dumb. McDonalds could have made the same comment about our normal home uniforms.

Hope the team enjoys wearing the gold on Saturday.

I'm all in on a boycott of McDonalds, that is until it's Shamrock Shake time, or when I'm really craving some McNuggets. Aside from that, I'm all in.

Did someone say shamrock shakes?

Anyone who thinks that uni's don't impact recruiting is a fool. Kids these days love stuff like that.

Ummmmm please see the other 100 threads where Ive tried to explain why recruits like alt jerseys. Every single person explained not only that it doesnt matter to them, but also if it did, we dont want them.

One guy even explained that it has a negative effect because look at oregons most recent class. The opinions on this board.....you cant make this stuff up.

The people suggesting that uniforms are so important to recruits are crazy. "I don't think I am going to join that program because blue is my favorite color, not red." Said no recruit ever. Alt uniforms are cool, but have very little impact. It reminds me of attending church meetings where the elders were discussing how to get more kids to come to the church and they had no idea what they were talking about.

Trust me it really does. You have to look at it through the mind of a high schooler.

Chuckd .... you hit it out of the park in this thread.

I remember the first game wearing yellow on yellow... against Mizzo (for the youngsters bawling about the uniforms, that is Missouri, they used to be in the big12).

Damn it was cold that night, and I thought the jerseys looked great under the lights. I'm exCYted to see what they look like during the day.

I agree. Didn't really think they looked that bad. Was nice to have a different look. To me, they look better than they do in the picture.

Youre right, football recruiting is exactly like trying to get more kids to come to church. Great use of a personal story to drive the point home. We might as well pack up this thread and head home.

I could avoid McDs pretty much year round until the month of March. Then I'm there every other day getting a shamrock shake. Those things are like crack.
