Sounds like Danny Welbeck is having a medical at Arsenal, I'm not over the moon about it but it's damn sure better than Sanogo. Seems odd for United to sell us a forward when it would seem we're going to be fighting for the same spots at the end of the season and it's clear that's one of our needs.

Best of luck to Danny Welbeck at Arsenal. Really enjoyed watching him play and glad I had the privilege of watching him play in Ann Arbor at the Man U-Real Madrid game a month ago.

Has a ton of potential to be a great striker.

If the 16mil figure is right I think Arsenal got a steal for a young, experienced, home grown player like Welbeck. Given the choice I'd rather have Falcao or Cavani, but I think Welbeck could develop into a really good CF and he's not Yaya Sanogo so he's got that going for him. Really would have liked to see a defensive mid get signed or even another CB.

Just got home from my daughter's swimming practice and flipped on the Chelsea-Crystal Palace match and both teams are down a man. What happened? Did things get chippy down on the pitch?

I just turned it on to the highlights:

Shoving match resulted in the Chelsea red card

Crystal Palace player got his second yellow a few minutes later on a play for the ball

Rumors going around saying that Dani Alves has signed a preliminary agreement with Manchester United to join at the end of the season.

Oh, Sunderland. Give up 2 OGs along with 6 to Southampton for an 8-0 drubbing. Good grief that's a bad club.

Is anybody watching NBCSN's Breakaway coverage of this morning's matches? Interesting idea conceptually, but it's way too ADD for my tastes.

I think it's an interesting idea, but I think I'd rather just watch one game at a time and then watch the highlight show later in the day. Still love their coverage overall though.

For the folks like myself who aren't as hardcore as some of you, but still like to watch, I think it works okay. If you follow a particular team religiously, not so much.

I wonder if they're trying this today as a dress rehearsal for the final day of the season, when all 10 matches occur simultaneously.

Last day of the season they typically show all the matches on different channels, it's awesome.

Some great matches going on now though, Leicester pulled level with Liverpool even after giving up 2 penalties, Sunderland just pulled even with Man City and now they just gave it right back, tons of action happening.

So maybe 10 dedicated channels with an 11th whiparound channel?
That's how they did it last year, well without the 11th channel thing. I suppose if they have an 11th channel they could do that. I already didn't even get all of the 10 channels though lol.

This would be ideal. And they wouldn't even have to wait for the final match day. They already have the Extra Time channels for every match so it wouldn't be all that difficult to have an additional channel with Breakaway action going on during the busy time slot every Saturday.
