You know what's weird is that we (Arkansas) didn't get any tickets. I donate to the Razorback foundation and I'm a member of the Alumni Association. Neither group got any tickets.

Basketball tickets for visitors are sparce. I think there are two rows right behind the visiting team's bench, and that is all. Usually they go to the visiting players' and coaches' family and friends first, as well as others directly associated with the athletic department.

You'll be behind the Arkansas bench.

You are flipped around the wrong way. 131 is on the SE corner of the court. The visitors bench is on the NW corner.

I watched almost every game the past four seasons from the seats in front of 102 heckling the visitors so I caught this mistake.

Haha. Absolutely not. Confidentiality and all.

I have gotten at least 5-6 offers from folks on here. I think they can tell that I'm a reasonable person who will go home and have good things to say about your arena.

Guess I don't get why people would go out of their way to offer to sell tickets to a visiting fan. I'm an actual ISU fan and donor and you don't see people coming up to me offering to sell row 1 seats. My opinion is that you do everything you can to keep opposing fans out of the arena...especially highly visible seats. Only exception is if they are stupid enough to pay $1k a seat or something like that. And I could give two sh%ts what someone goes home and says about our arena or fans. For the most part I hope they hate it and never want to come back.

Yeah don't really understand why someone wouldn't offer those tickets to ISU fans before giving them to an away team fan...

I'm guessing that he will be paying $300-$350 per ticket for those seats based on the fact that those seats are on Stubhub currently for a number of games. I'm sure if other fans were willing to pay that much the seller would gladly let a Cyclone fan have them.

On a separate note, the ticket availability at Hilton (especially in the lower level) has become more difficult then even Phog Allen. The prices are similar on the secondary market, but the quantity simply doesn't exist. Which is a good thing because that means the high level donors are using the tickets themselves. As an example an individual is currently selling a single ticket in Section 111 for the entire season. It includes a parking pass as well. The price is 3k. Which may seem quite ridiculous, until you realize that unless you donate $20,000 every year you can't find a seat that good.
Overall, the seating problem is a good one to have. I think people value the Hilton Experience much more now that it will take $50-$75 to even get in the door at Hilton during a big game.

Bingo. They're the tickets that you saw on stubhub.

Yeah, I'm absolutely amazed at how tough tickets seem to come by in Ames. It reminds me of Fayetteville in the mid 1990's.

Don't worry. We won't stick out too much -- we'll be wearing red! Haha

I cannot wait for basketball to start. Football has been a nightmare lately.

You've got me curious. Who exactly are you going to give the two *****? Hopefully the visitors in row 1 or the person selling them, I know I sure don't want it.

The Arkansas game is not sold out, there are 4 tickets online right now from ISU for $30.

Weird. When I called the ticket office around 10 yesterday morning, they said they were sold out.

Did you speak with a southern accent? The ticket office workers have been trained to not sell tickets to anyone with a southern accent or anyone calling from an area code within 50 miles of the state of Kansas.

a ticket could be $1,000 on stubhub so technically it's not sold out.

Tickets on stubhub have already been sold. Stubhub is a third party outlet for people who either can't attend or just want to make money, to be able to sell their tickets. But those folks already bought the tickets from ISU.

So hypothetically there could by 10,000 tickets on stubhub and the game could already be sold out.

I really don't know what mtown was thinking with that last post.
