May you live a long and fruitful life with only things like this to whine about. With any luck you'll get to see another half-dozen or so of the same thread!

The nice young men on this board are nothing if not conscientious positive role models for the rest of the world. Occasionally they need some reassurance from the rest of us.

I think you are mistaking a simple observation as ********. I just thought it was funny that it's a common topic around here. Everyone here is so goddamn defensive about things.

Well, I am home resting on the couch. Really wasn't terrible. Lefty was a breeze. Righty was worse when getting the anesthetic, apparently some scar tissue or something according to the doctor.

Once you get to feeling better, you will get to the good part. I had to have so many "evacuations" (their term) before I could get a sample tested. Told my wife that she needed to help me out. Those were some fun times!

Yeah, that's a bright part. Although mine was a number and a time period. I went back for my first test and got bad news that I still had swimmers.

When I had it done a year ago it was pretty easy. Just a little uncomfortable a couple days after it was done. After it was done, it felt like something was putting pressure on my junk, but it was tolerable.

They told my wife and me that I would have to have at least 20 'evacuations' before setting up the test for swimmers. I said, "See you next week", and the assistant spit her coffee out. No lie. Think it was still the Valium

So I know this is a painful thread and really shouldn't be revisited, however I'm looking to get this procedure done and wondering where you go (in the Des Moines area) to get it taken care of. Any insight would be appreciated.

Iowa Clinic Urology in West Des Moines for me. Just check with your insurance and see who's in-network.
