Has a coach ever recovered from 2 seasons of 2-3 wins this late in his time on the job? I can't imagine that the impossible will happen here, so let's move on.
No I would have fired him actually after he said we did good things in the first half to that reporter.I'd have fired him as he was leaving the stadium today.

Overall, Pollard is an elite AD. He brings in the money and improves facilities.
But he has a very difficult time finding good coaches.

Just fire him and let the fans pick plays from their couches for the rest of the season. Like the pro bowl. That's fine to have that opinion, but the problem is, in order to do that, you have to have a plan in place. So what would your plan be?
I guess you could name Mangino the interim head coach and then start your search. That actually wouldn't be a bad idea really.
Like someone said, there has to be some young genius coach that would love to make 2-3 million a year, isn't there?
Post of the year!!!!!!Guy has 5 straight losing seasons and people are actually willing to give it a wait and see approach? What else do you need to see at this point?

Staff continuity.

I hate the idea of giving "one more year" to any coach. It's an incredibly tough position. For a one year coach, getting quality assistants becomes hard. Recruiting becomes difficult. A poor start to that one job future determining season kills any incentive to perform later in the season.
Clearly you mean football, as McD is the only MBB coach in the past 6 that did not have success.Name an ISU AD that hasn't had a difficult time finding good coaches. It's not an easy place to recruit to, and that goes for coaches as well.
Am I the only one who doesn't want Pollard picking our next football coach, whenever that may be?
