CynadoAlley, you should organize some more underground Cyclone Alley shenanigans. The Flop got the students excited and riled up for the Ok State game. The previous games had low attendance and low energy in the student section. Cyclone Alley needs to do stuff to get the student section actively involved and cheering instead of dumb timeout contests on the court and stuff like that.

So it turns out the Cyclone Alley Committee is still pretty bitter about this. I noticed that the CBE Classic retweeted a post of Cyclone Alley's for the chance to win free tickets to the tournament. Doing so simply by following CA and retweeting the tweet. So I made my way to Cyclone Alley's page, and found it odd that I wasn't already following them.

I hit the follow button and it says "You have been blocked from following this account at the request of the user."

Obviously, creativity (and showing them up) is frowned upon. So awesome job Cyclone Alley. You guys are doing a fantastic job of improving the gameday experience..

Ha I went to follow them to retweet for tickets and I have been blocked as well. Apparently they didn't like one of my tweets last winter saying the attendance was pretty pathetic.

So they can have a sweepstakes where following them is required, and then can selectively block people to prevent qualification? Seems legit...

Do they have some sort of Faculty Advisor? It seems to me that they could be on very shaky ground being able to arbitrarily exclude students from their ticket drawing like that. If I were you I would give their Faculty Advisor a call.

Has she not graduated yet? She'll be a legend like all the other ****** players who never seemed to graduate.

Do you guys remember the thread where we named her "The Hawk" and had some memorable photoshops of her with a beak. Then some guy claiming to be her brother came on saying she was actually a basketball expert. Classic Stuff.

Contact EIU's athletic department's legal office for guidance regarding sweepstakes. By now they should know what is legal in Iowa.

I do not, but would love to see this. I'd also be in on a good photoshop thread for her.

Hoiberg is an expert. She's a groupie at best. My favorite GIF is the one someone made by taking that one of the old woman that suddenly pops up in front of David Robinson at a game and replaced the woman's face with Curly Haired Girl.

Lastly, I'd just like to add that if you're getting blocked by Cyclone Alley admins, you're doing it right.

I don't have any ideas off the top of my head at the moment, but I'm sure we could think of something.

I was saying in the Hilton thread that got derailed by twocoach hate that I think it would be cool if the students had cardinal and gold streamers to throw up after the first ISU points or made 3. Just think it would look sweet on TV. Seems like somebody with good Twitter skills could make that happen.

Back in (07-09ish) some of my friends and I used to throw handfulls of confetti into the air during introductions. We just bought a few sheets of cardinal and gold construction paper and cut them into 1 square inch pieces.
We would all grab a huge handful and then throw them into the air when the last ISU player was announced. (When the PA guy holds the last name for longer than usual and then at the climax, release a **** load of confetti).
It was actually pretty cool, but never really caught on.

I feel like those might have just been bad years to try to get any sort of tradition to catch on.
