Here's facts for you, Big 10 recognized National Titles ranked #2 with 40/ Big 12 recognized NT ranked #4 with 19. You still think yr. in and yr. out ISU would compete better in a conference that has more then double the National Titles then the conference they are in? That is laughable.

You do also know that Mn. has won 6 National Titles, ISU has won 0 and 0 conference championships in over 100 yrs. How can you try and make fun of a school that has history of winning and ISU never has?

What does any of that have to do with the fact that these schools suck today? The last decade Iowa State would have competed at a much higher rate in the b1g than they have in the Big 12 because the level and the quality of football is a step higher in the Big 12.

That is another of those hawk fans made up stories, about how they improve during the year when they play the **** teams in their league, while Iowa State plays OU, etc.

I take it back, you aren't that doch moron from hn. You are that kilroy/bugs bunny/etc guy from HR, that keeps getting banned over there aren't you? I am sorry that everyone in your life hates you, and wants nothing to do with you, but that doesn't mean you need to come here and prove why they hate you.

actually, that doesn't mean that you may not be that doc guy after all

Most people dont pick just a small time frame when it comes to a program. ( That would be like taking so many of the 27 world series titles the Yankees have, just because they havent been won in the last decade ) Its part of their history and who they are, and the same goes for the conferences and schools in college.
Then you can look at Bowls, ISU is 3-8 ( Ricky Stanzi won that many as a Hawkeye alone ) and the quality of the bowl. ISU hasnt even been to a Jan. bowl, and has never played in a top tier bowl.
Then you can look at 40 - 22 IOWA vs ISU. Gotta give you credit though takes a lot of ..... to think ISU is better then IOWA, MN or many of the Big 10 teams. You havent even won a conference title in over 100 yrs. ( its not like the big 8 was always a powerhouse, lol )

Here another for you, yes the HAWKEYES as does most teams improve as the yr. goes on. Teams that beat a team early on, never means they are the better team over the season. Especially in football, since you only play a team once. My point to show this is the 2007 LSU tigers won the bcs with a 12-2 record. The loses were to #17 Kentucky and unranked Arkansas. Do you really think any of these two schools were the better team? The better teams always have the better season.

The Hawkeyes looked very improved in their 51-14 blowout loss to the Gophers.

The Minnesota Gopher football team defeated Iowa 51-14 on 11/8/2014, and it wasn't even that close.

Hey, they got their butt handed to them, it happens once in awhile. As I recall so did ISU the last two games played, not too mention a whopping 1300 yds given up.

I am not making the argument that Iowa State looked improved. Iowa State beat Iowa........at Iowa. As bad as ISU is, they beat Iowa........so don't come here and try to make a claim that somehow Iowa has a good team. Iowa sucks. They were beaten by ISU.......which was beaten by Kansas and NDSU. But enjoy your narrow victory over powerhouse Ball State. Massachusetts Minutemen beat Ball State by more points than you did. LOL.

My point is, IOWA would win as they have improved. Both teams have played only 2 teams with a losing record at the time they played. ISU being 1 of the losing teams for IOWA the other Northwestern. Texas and Kansas were the two for ISU. Of IOWA'S 6 wins , 4 were from a Power 5 conference. 1 FCS ( which beat the FCS team that beat ISU ) ISU has 1 power 5 conference win.

Although that win is against IOWA it is very easy to see which team progressed, and which transgressed. If you want to go beyond this yr. I would be glad to do that to for you.

You can NOT make that claim. Iowa looked absolutely awful in their last game against a Minnesota team that lost to Illinois and eked out a 1-point win over Purdue. So how can you make a claim that Iowa would beat ISU if they played again?

Nice try. But you lose. Scoreboard. Iowa may not even win another game for the rest of this season.

Yes I can make that claim, the record speaks for itself. Yes they played bad at Mn., that doesnt mean the season is shot. Dont forget UNI easily beat NDSU, which if you recall NDSU crushed ISU. Iowa beat UNI..
Also IOWA has an overall 40-22 advantage vs. ISU.

LOL. Using your twisted logic we have a damn good team. We beat Iowa.....so every team Iowa beat, we beat as well.......and by 3 more points than Iowa did. LOL.

I actually just used the comparison of NDSU as it was a common opponent. ISU wouldnt beat any of the teams IOWA has other then ball state. You keep trying to compare them though to each other. Look at all IOWA has done under Ferentz side by side to the Clones and its not even close to which is better. When ISU gets up and passes IOWA or anyone else for that matter on an overall record, then you can lay claim to the we are better. Until then, there is only 1 team in your conference KSU and no where near IOWA since they are the only other team you play on a reg. basis. Which wont continue much longer anyway, when the Big 10 goes to a 9 game conference schedule.

NO, I am saying Mn. doesnt have as weak a schedule as some think. I think ISU would be exactly where they are now if they were in the Big 10. I doubt they would beat IOWA , but that is their main goal. I think Mn. would kill ISU. there is only two worse power 5 teams Vandy and Wake.

OK, so if Minnesota and Iowa State swapped conferences before the beginning of this season, what do you predict Minnesota's final record would be (they play the exact games that ISU played/will play this season)?

What would Iowa's record be in the Big XII if they made such a switch?

Mn. and IOWA would lose to TCU, Baylor, more then likely OU. ISU would still be winless. There are only 2 power 5 teams worse, Vandy and Wake. Kansas is #97 and ISU #103, the lowest Big 10 is Purdue @ #87. I believe as well ISU defense is ranked 117 overall..

...and Iowa would lose to OK State, K State, Texas, WV, ISU (oh wait, they already did at home), and would likely battle it out with KS and Tx Tech for last place in the league. Speed beats big, slow and Stupid, all the time. Your comments prove you cannot fix Sttttt.....upid! ISU sucks. Iowa plays in a JV league where improvement can be shown against mediocrity any given week. They swallow.

Jerry was a head coach before Minnesota. CPR wasn't.

The only thing that proves is that he can win at a lower level...Where did Bobby Stoops head coach before he got to Oklahoma ditto Barry Switzer.

If Iowa State fans really want to win a lot of football games then get out of the big xii and find an easier schedule.

I

IOWA wouldnt lose to any of them, including ISU. Yes you beat us, who owns a 40-22 advantage though? Who's main point of the season is only to beat IOWA? IOWA plays for the season. As far as JV league, you know absolutely no facts. 40 National titles Big 10, and only 19 big 12.... Thus ISU is ranked #103 and IOWA #44..

Ya, seems like everyone , except the few on this board knows IOWA is the better team. Then if you want to talk program,, ISU gets their *** handed to them they are so far out of the HAWKEYES league.
