Again. Kill cant control how good the B1G is. Can only beat/lose to those on the schedule. Just doing what he should for most part, beat teams he is better than, lose/be competitive to better teams. CPR cant get the first half that equation right (beating teams we should be better than, i.e NDSU). If he was, I would have zero issues with him. He has a double whammy though. Losing to inferior teams and not even being competitive (for most part) against better teams. His teams get straight up white-washed/blown up

No individual can control how bad the Big Ten is. But you can try to be a rational human being and not make irrational comparisons. Kill's team totally sucks compared to Marshall. See how that works?

The Big 10 is worse that the Big 12, but it amazes me how many of you on here are so black and white about it.

List Minnesota's impressive wins? Tell me how impressive they were losing to Illinois? I'll hang up and listen.

That is pretty black and white.

Not impressive to me, but Kill just beat NEB on the road. People STILL talk about isu beating NEB on a fluke day (Kill actually beat NEB, not using umteen turnovers), and when ISU beat NEB they were wayyyyy worse.

A win is a win. I'd take 4-0 starts for ISU if they were all against cupcake st. Wins breed confidence.

Minnesota
#7 is referencing TCU. Minnesota could barely manage a single first down against TCU's first stringers. Their biggest accomplishment the entire season is beating Nebraska and losing to Ohio State in a game that was not nearly as close as the score. OSU turned the ball over all game and Minn tacked on a meaningless score a the end.

6 of their wins are against horrible teams and they have a loss to a horrible team. They are extremely average, just like Mac's and CPR's bowl teams have been. Now if Kill can somehow keep this level without dropping off I'll give him and Minnesota credit for doing what Mac and CPR couldn't, but this season isn't very impressive given that it's a JV caliber schedule.

Pretty sure based on this that you did not actually watch this game.

My point exactly. "A" win. They have ONE impressive win, not so much that Neb is great but that it's generally very tough place to win even if they aren't great. I just think it's hilarious I'm supposed to bow down to "a" win...especially when it'd combined with losing to Illinois and not being able to move the ball on TCU until the benches were emptied.

Minny does play in a weak big 10, but Kill's win at NE today again shows that he's a good coach. May not win big there but he's a solid 6-7 win per season coach. We would take that.

and yet it is ranked higher then the big 12 . SOS rankings, #1 SEC, #2 ACC, #3 Big 10, # 4 Big 12, #5 Pac 12, and the Big 10 doesnt have anyone ranked as low as ISU and KU.

He is a good coach. I don't see how that has been denied on here.

BUT playing the weaker competition that he plays every year, has been a benefit to his turnaround there.

And what on earth would make you think that this would automatically translate in to winning in a better conference. You saw what happened to them when they played TCU. They would not do much better against OU, Baylor, etc.
