Ok. If all the pr/jp haters will stop attacking those of us who aren't in total meltdown mode, then we have a deal. (Although it's a bit odd that you think people are trying to "guilt" others into supporting the program, just by stating their opinions that are at variance with yours or others.)
I cant control the crazies, if you look at my post history I've been on radio silent this year. When things are this bad and the negativity gets overwhelming I just stay away.
I think Jamie is a fantastic AD, he has built a foundation at ISU. Facilities are the best they have ever been etc. The budget that he has to work with limits his ability to operate from a contract standpoint. ISU cant pay FB head coach and MBB head coach, WR head coach and WBB head coach top dollar or even really competitive rates without killing the other programs or facilities plans, we just cant. As a counter JP offers Loooooooong term deals, which if they work are great, if not then here we are.
I want CPR to win, I really do. Not only because he coaches ISU but because he seems like a legit good guy and he really does care about his players and coaches etc.
Your comment about "thanks to fans like you" just rubbed me the wrong way. I've been a Cyclone fan for a long time, and I have been a donor for as long as I have been able. I've been there to support this team and I have done what JP and CPR have asked. I've bought tickets, made donations, traveled to bowl games and I've been in my seat every single home game since CPR has been here, except one. That was the WVU game this past weekend. I chose to save myself the grief and disappointment. I haven't enjoyed a football game at Jack Trice since the Baylor game three seasons ago. That was the last game Jake Knott played and honestly it was the last time it felt like this team had any guts.
If you are still 100% on board with JP and CPR then good for you. I wont bash you for it, hell I applaud your resiliency. Quite honestly I don't know how you do it.
Personally it isn't worth it anymore for me to spend the money and the time supporting this program.
