Well of course he expects to rebound. Hard not to when you only win 2 games.

I think with a little luck we can get 4-5 wins next year. So hard to tell this time of year. I'll see who we can bring in from the Juco ranks.

Glad to hear about the support from Pollard behind the scenes in recent weeks. It is now public. Isn't this pretty much was CW was calling for a few weeks ago?

With ISU's back loaded schedule, I EXPECT bowl game. Otherwise, he should be gone (he should be gone this year, but since he's putting his neck out for next year, I'll give him a shot)

Feel that we are losing as much talent as we are bringing back. I could see a defense as porous and nop running game again with an improved passing team. You can only work so many miracles. Basically the schedule is too tough for our talent. The in league improvement of Baylor, TCU, and perhaps Kansas has loaded our team up with tough tailgating weekends. Never thought in 2011 that we would see one win home seasons two years in a row. Never thought we would relive Gene Days with 5-19. Never thought we would perhaps slip to the worse defense in the FBS after Saturday. Feels eerily like Walden ball.

I tend to err on the side of blind optimism when it comes to football. I always hope there's a way to find 6 wins and go bowling.

But it's hard not to look at that first game against UNI and expect anything other than to lose once again. That's pretty much where we're at.

I'm with you.

I don't see enough of an infuse of talent coming aboard next year, or from current redshirts, to make me feel like next year will be any different than this year. We just don't have Big 12 talent. It's more like MAC talent.

Take this OL JUCO we just got. Two stars and no other offers to speak of. Nothing against the kid, but he's not a Big 12 level player..... he's just not.

As for JP voicing his support for Rhoads.... he doesn't really have any other choice right now. We all know he can't afford to make a change right now. We're stuck with Rhoads for at least one more year. And that 300k bonus he'll be getting will be really hard to take, but it still is cheaper than firing him.

I think Wally and Shane need to go, but the more I read, the more I don't think that will happen either.

But nobody should be surprised by JP's support of Rhoads.

After the bowl win over Minnesota PR grabbed the microphone and yelled "We are not a good football team!" (Possibly paraphrasing. It was a long day)

Well, Coach, no argument here

Good, I have been off and on the bandwagon, but I am on and all in for 1 more year. Provided there is a defense that can make a few 3rd down stops and not give up a crapload of rushing yards bowling should be possible.

I might be captain obvious here but how/why are people thinking we will be better next year?! Will we finally have a quarterback? Will we have an All-American TE? Are the injuries really what held us back this year?

Look at the schedule next year, and tell me what road games we will win. Toledo. Thats it.

Home games: 3 games. UNI, Iowa, Kansas

4 wins total.

We are so blind that it makes me sick. Even if we win SIX games next year and get to play in the freakin' Liberty Bowl, lets move to 2016 and beyond. Why are we so slow to realize that what we have is not right? This is really disappointing

Well I think if ISU is going to make a move in football up the Big 12 ladder the next couple of years you have to start now. KU is still craptastic. Things are not going well for Okie St and Gundy COULD be leaving which will drop them down. Snyder only has 1 or 2 years left IMO, KSU goes down after that. Tech is in trouble with Kingsbury, they will hold onto him a couple of years too long. I also feel that Baylor is only good as long as Briles is there, he is 63 I believe. Heck, there is a lot of displeasure with Stoops at OU. Make a change while you can Jamie, we could be competing with 3 other teams in our league for coaches after next season.
