ha, right? I just hated that how well I did didn't matter if everyone else was lazy/procrastinators/whatever. We had a group for Honors English freshman year and the one kid that was all like "I got this" wanted to be the person who put everything together. Well, he did a terrible job, didn't get it done until like 10 minutes before we presented - so no time to make changes - and forgot his usb drive WITH THE PRESENTATION ON IT so we had to change our time so he could run and get it and the hard *** professor knocked us down a grade for it. One of the other Type A girls and I were not amused. After that I did everything I could to be the combiner/final editor of group projects.

Oh, and I bet you were passive aggressively getting back at him SO hard, too, weren't you.

So I have a TV that may or may not be delivered today. No update in shipping status on the carrier site since 11/28 when it was first processed. Estimated delivery says today between 12-4pm, carrier is supposed to call. Amazon shipping status says it arrived in DSM 2 days ago but isn't out for delivery yet.

That's disturbing. Yet it seems a little normal. I was told our next box of diapers were on the way, and then told this morning they somehow got delayed a day. (Thankfully we still have some of the horrible cheap ones left)

I hated group projects with a passion. Unless it was a group that I got to pick the people and it was a higher level class.

All higher level classes. But for some reason every single professor did random groups! Disaster! But I am actually pleasantly surprised, only one group sucks, the others are kinda fun/good.

The worst thing I ever saw on a tracking thing was "package was involved in a traffic accident" and I was all....welp...there that goes, but it actually wasn't delayed at all.

Stuffy nosed baby turned into I have a cold baby. She slept for two hours, refused to be cribbed (would wake up) then refused to sleep for two hours. Then woke up a little on and off after that.

My backspace key was getting stuck, so I spent the last few minutes taking apart the keyboard to see if a paperclip or something had fallen between the keys. (side note - they put WAY TOO MANY screws on modern keyboards) So what do I finally find in there? A whisker. White, about 2 inches long. Now, I could understand that if I was at home (four cats & all). But this is my WORK computer! Where the hell did the whisker come from? Do we have rats in the building?

Another side note: my first 3 years here we were housed in the "new" part of Old Botany. We shared our space with mice, bats, the occasional pigeon, and cockroaches that came up at night from the steam tunnel under the loading dock...they were the size of my thumb! And rats. They stored corn grain in the basement (dungeon) under the old part of the building. Every once in a while a rat would come strolling up into the occupied part of the building (the old part was all boarded up back then). It was a really really lovely experience...

Boooooo. No game tonight then?

I wasn't going to take her anyway. I decided on Tuesday no babysitter due to the stuffy nose. Sigh. It's supposed to be really exciting too. I may have to see if she will sleep on the couch with me so I can watch it.

As a person without cats, please let me inform you that if you think you leave all the cat hair at home when you leave...you don't....you really don't. Oh, I know you're good about checking, and you have a sticky lint roller by the door, and you totally don't bring cat hairs to work...but you do.

Called Pilot (original carrier) and they told me to call the local delivery service they use. On hold with them now, said someone called and set up an appointment to deliver Sat. Um, nope, pretty sure I haven't talked to anyone. She couldn't find our paperwork in the Sat delivery folder. "What the crap" and "I'm such a *******" were phrases I heard from the delivery set up gal. So cross your fingers, we are supposed to be getting a new tv between 8-noon on Sat.

Oh, so the missus asks me to "upload/download, whatever...some of the pictures I took to costco's website so I can make a christmas card" this morning, because it's home alone Thursday and these advanced concepts like taking a memory card out of a camera, finding a card reader, plugging it in and do the copy/paste thing...then following directions on a website are too difficult....:dull:

NEW RULE....if you want me to get pictures off of the camera...either don't let the 4 year old run around for a half hour with our f'ing DSLR camera clicking pictures of whatever, yet intermix real pictures of stuff you don't want deleted...or clean them up before you want me to mess with them.

:realmad:

Very similar to the "No, that is Uncle Boxstercy's phone, not mommies phone" rule. Rule was invoked several times over Thanksgiving.

Just browsing though the last few pages. Did nobody mention using "Average Joes" for BDK's dodgeball team? For shame.

I am bored and very lazy today. It's TBT and I should be scanning and posting an old pic for Facebook but being an old fart makes almost all of my photo choices throwback eligible, so TOO MANY choices! Going to waste more time drinking coffee and surfing.

I have a PILE of golden retriever hair underneath my desk. I stopped trying to figure out how I was bringing so much hair to work
