Honestly, I'm genuinely curious, what would you do with this program? Do think what CPR has done the past two years is acceptable, or is cancelled out by his first years?
Do you think ISU is in position to go to a bowl game with this setup? Do you think CPR has been even an average decision maker in his time here, and especially the past two years? Both coaching and staff decisions.
IMO, the first years of CPR has shown me that he does have the ability to coach and win games. And is able to pull off big wins in places we have never won before.
I am not happy with the wins we have had the last 2 years. But I would give him the opportunity to coach this fall for a whole number of reasons.
As far as decisions go, I would say that CPR has made some good and some bad decisions.....like any coach. I would say that Iowa State has no margin for error. No margin for serious injuries. No margin for recruiting mistakes. The next football season will give us our answer as to whether CPR will be our coach in the future. Until that time, I will remain optimistic and positive. If CPR does well, then I will support his continuing coaching. If CPR does not do well, then I will support the decision made concerning his coaching future at Iowa State.
As far as a bowl game is concerned, Yes. We can make a bowl game.
