Should I start a thread about what I am actually doing at that time to prove to you that I will not be watching? Sorry, but frankly if it isn't high school or Iowa State (or to a lesser extent Missouri), I find football to be boring. (And Iowa State hasn't made it too exciting lately.) I would rather watch ISU Basketball, spend time with my family, watch a movie, watch TV, play a game, take a nap, watch paint dry or do something else.

GET OUT OF THIS COUNTRY YOU DAMN COMMUNIST!!!!! :jimlad:

Lol, I'm watching regardless. The problem is our own teams' OOC schedules and our own commissioner not declaring a champ.

TCU crushed Minnesota non-conference. Which is one of Ohio State's most "impressive" wins. College football is and always has been dictated by the dollar. It's the reason there are bowl games in the first place. I'm about ready to boycott college football all together. NFL football is better in every possible way anyways.

Beating #13 Wisconsin 59-0 the day before the selection more than makes up for it. And the committee agreed.

But by the transitive property of football, common opponent Iowa, we beat Iowa by 3 in Iowa City, Wisconsin beat Iowa by 2 in Iowa City, beating Wisconsin by 59 not much different than beating us by 52.:jimlad:

Only FSU is unbeaten to be able to make this argument. Losing to Virginia Tech is now better than either of the losses you mentioned above?

Losing to VA Tech at home by two touchdowns is better than losing at Baylor by 3?

I am getting sick and tired of watching the Big 12 get screwed to play for a National FB Title.

The Claim vs Okie State was that their loss was a horrible loss (ISU) instead of Alabama's loss at home to LSU. This was all after the terrible plane crash. I heard very little about OSU's loss to VT.

BS.

The narrative about needing a championship game and not co-champions is garbage (and another poster or two alluded to this somewhere else). The Big 10 for years allowed co-champions even when they played head to head didn't they? Bowl designation might be different (and would be in this case too), but tying for the league record makes you a co-champion. And in those days, the Big 10 wouldn't even play every other member.

The whole thing is spin.

Yeah I've come to agree with this. Even if there was a championship game in the b12 yesterday the NCAA would have justified taking OSU yesterday by pointing to their demolition of Wiscy.

I only watch a few of the good bowl games. Don't know why exactly, I just can't get excited to watch 2 mediocre teams play in late December/early January.

No Big 12 team won out of conference this year. TCU beating Minny early at home isn't something to point to. KSU did well against Auby but still that was at home and they were overmatched and lost.

Not one good win for the Big 12. Thank Baylor for not playing anyone with a pulse NC.

Baylor and TCU are too similar carbon copies of each other every other team was too impressive over the last 2-3 weeks to think of leaving them out for one of the June Jones style 5 wide offense teams. I hate the B1G too but Im not shocked or outraged.

If it was Baylor vs Ohio State for the last spot the Bears could have got it on public pressure and being more exciting and explosive but in truth OSU gets it every time because Briles scheduled noone.

And TCU is another Baylor the fact that another school was able to replicate what Briles was doing so easily sort of takes away from the accomplishment of both schools rolling through the Texas and Oklahoma schools.

Luck is a complete joke of a representative. Thats really the only gripe.

The toughest game Baylor and TCU both played this year was in MOrgantown. ISU won there last year. Ohio St rolled everyone in their putrid conference.

Enough with your stupid boycotts. Nobody cares. The college football playoffs were set up to make money, and if a few fans from one of college football's worst teams don't want to watch, then big deal. It makes the rest of us look stupid.

TCU didn't get excluded because of a conspiracy; they were excluded because their last game of the season was against one of the ten worst teams in FBS. Ohio State, meanwhile, steamrolled a top 20 team 59-0 with a third string QB.

They were also excluded by the stupidity of the Big XII, which had opportunities to expand but chose not to, and spent half a million dollars on a cockamamie ad campaign to cover up the fact they didn't have a conference championship. The conference (namely Bowlsby) has no one to blame but themselves.

I agree with mostly what you've posted here. IMO the Big 12 has noone to blame but itself. However, I don't believe for a single second that if it was Texas and OU instead of TCU and Baylor that one of them wouldn't be picked. The names on the jerseys absolutely made a difference vs. Ohio State.

This current setup means that ISU or Iowa or any of the smaller programs will NEVER get a chance to play in the playoffs. I really don't give a rip if you still want to watch that's fine. I'm just not going to watch and a lot of others aren't either. The semi-final games won't be close and the whole bowl lineup is pretty blah. After Hoiball I will seriously consider dropping my TV contract like others are doing at an increasing rate. I don't need any more propaganda in my life and this will encourage me to be more productive.

i won't be watching either. This makes me think that the move away from the BCS system might have been a conscious effort on the NCAA's part in order to have more control into who they pick for the playoff. Under the old BCS system, the B1G was starting to be left out as the conference kept getting weaker and weaker every year. Now they can just push that crap conference into the playoff without having to depend on the computers.
